Margo (dandylines) I just got a Kindle and love it but when I use the app to get to Goodreads, I can get to book recommendations, but there is no way I can get to groups. There are ways to get to other features but not to groups.
Anyone else experience this or have a suggestion. I would love to look at the Reading Challenge on my Kindle.

Thomas Hillring (dakkster) In my experience the ability to use ebook tablets for anything other than reading books is pretty much a joke. Add to that the fact that Goodreads makes pretty shoddy apps and that's not a great combination. But maybe it's possible...

I have gotten fairly good at using my tablet because it is big enough for my over 65 years fingers. My learning curve on these things is much slower than I like, but the Kindle is fairly easy. That said I hated it when I found there were no - yes n - o - instructions except a drawing on how to pull various things into the tablet. You had to go on line to get all the other information.

I agree wholeheartedly.

My workaround for my Kindle paper white is to use the 'experimental web browser' function... It's not ideal (there's a reason why it's called experimental ; / ), but I've typed in and bookmarked web links to the discussions I want to follow, my friends page, group page etc.

It sort of works but isn't ideal. If you've installed an app, your Kindle is probably more advanced than mine, but URLs in favourites / bookmarks / links (whatever your version calls them in your web browser) are maybe worth a try..?

You are much more advance in the techy field that I am. I think I will just live with it for now.

Cyndy (cyndy-ksreader) | 231 comments I have a Kindle Fire. The Goodreads app on it has 3 bars on the upper left that access a menu. Groups is on that menu.

Margo (dandylines) I will give that a try. I have a Fire also.

I looked for that and unfortunately I do not have those bars! Not sure why.
