Patricia | 20 comments I'm currently enjoying The Horse: The Epic History of Our Noble Companion by Wendy Williams. Good narrative nonfiction with personal anecdotes added to the science and history.

Carla (writeon1913) I'm reading Blue by Danielle Steel. Every now and then I like to indulge in one of her reads. This one is really good.

I just finished The Bollywood Bride by Sonali Dev. While I didn't enjoy the romance part of the plot quite as much as the author's first books, A Bollywood Affair, I loved all the details of how traditions from India are followed in present-day families in the U.S.

Jess (jesmy777) I'm finishing a series with The Book of Life. I was even able to find it in large print, which is a huge help with the vision issues caused by severe Migraines.

Honora | 6 comments I'm just starting As Chimney Sweepers Come to Dust I love Flavia de Luce novels but somehow never got around to reading this one last year.

Charlene | 21 comments I'm listening to The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley. This is the first of the Flavia de Luce novels and I am loving it. Thank you, Jamie Schrum of Myrtle Grove Library for the tip!

Jen | 1 comments I just finished Rachel by Dobrimir Harrison. Dark vampire story set in Japan. Not my usual genre, but it was very good.

Also, just finished a re-release romance my Mary Balogh. Not sure what I will move on to next.

I'm very much enjoying Lingo: A Language Spotter's Guide to Europe. SUCH fun! Did you know that Finnish has two sets of vowels and all the vowels in any given word have to be from one set or the other? Do you know how the school system in Luxembourg ensures that students are trilingual when they graduate? Great fun for word-fans!

Carla (writeon1913) I have read Rhythm Ride: A Road Trip Through the Motown Sound which was a great introduction and history to Motown for youngr readers narrated by "The Groove."

This morning I read Why Johnny Doesn't Flap: NT is OK! which is written by husband and wife Clay and Gail Morton. Gail has an MLIS (YAY) and they are the parents of a son who has autism.

Last week I finished No More Mr. Nice Guy: A Family Business Novel by Carl Weber and it has me ready to keep reading more from his series.

Charlene | 21 comments I am slogging my way through (on p. 150) John Irving's Avenue of Mysteries. I love this author, especially A Prayer for Owen Meany. Many reviews say to stay with it. Maybe another 50 and I will call it at that point. I like the characters but the plot is muddled, to say the least.
