Sometimes a Great Notion can be kind of hard to read because sometimes you're reading three different stories with three different POVs and tenses at the same time, but it's SO GOOD.
Deep Freeze by Lisa Jackson takes place in Oregon. It's a total guilty pleasure read but it was a good murder mystery.
Beverly Cleary's Ramona Quimby/Henry Huggins books are set in Portland. I've been meaning to re-read them all (It's been decades) and do the walking tour of their neighborhood for some time now. I might just use that.
