Perpetual Booknerds discussion

Okay so I'm going in kind of blind on this one. I know nothing about it. So far I'm unsure. I know high school can be a challenge and you do what you can to survive and I'm happy Anika (and I love the name) fixed things but I think she needs to break free of #1! She only has power because people let her have power. I hope we will see more of her stepping up and also I'm interested to learn more about Logan. Also while it might be a character flaw that they drug and plot to steal from their boss, I don't mind, not because I condone that but I do like that it started (the drugging at least) came from a place of love. Dick boss wants to harass your friend and tell her to lose weight (would have been promptly told some choice words there) just because he's hungover and hates his life....go for it. The stealing might be a bit much though.

So I don't know anything about this book. To be honest it was just a title and cover that grabbed my attention and I decided to give it a try.

As of right now I am not really enjoying it. I am Romanian and found many of the things quite stereotypical and insulting; however I am hoping that there will be character growth and that things will improve.

Also, I am not ok with the drugging of your boss and stealing. The way I see it you are a teen with a part time job, you did not fall on hard times where you have to keep this job or else you'll end up in the street; so instead of working for this despicable person just quit and look for a different job. Making excuses for bad behavior is never ok. Again, I really hope that in the end this is just to teach am important lesson and learn from mistakes.
