David Lopez What POV is this story written? me and my group decided that this was in 1st person and we thought that the writer decided to put it in 1st person to make the story more relatable.

David Lopez Today in our groups we discussed our thoughts about the different moods in Tangerine. Some that we came up with were happy, sad, and tough. These we used mainly to describe Paul (the main character). Paul is ready for whatever life throws his way.

Daniel Today in our group we discussed our thoughts about the tone in the story Tangerine. The passage that we picked was when Mike Costello dies. The tone in that particular passage was scared, and shocked. The author has short sentences because the characters don't really know what to say.

Fardeen Rizwan Today in our group we discussed our thoughts about genre in the story Tangerine. We found that every genre in the story was realistic fiction. And that everything could only be related to realistic fiction, and not any other type of genre.

David Lopez today in class, we decided what was ambiguous in our book. we decided on When Erik tried to kill Paul but we don’t really know who it is. we decided that because we don't really know who tried to kill him so we are ambiguous to know who killed him so that we can solve the mystery.

David Lopez our novels storyworld is basically a normal storyworld because it is realistic fiction. everything is like the world that we live in. they live in houses like us, there are no floating homes, there are parks, there shools etc...

David Lopez our decision is that Paul is faced with being legally blind and trying to play

He wants to play goalie and he tries to

the storyworld impacts the consequences of the decision because the other kids make fun of him

Fardeen Rizwan The most common thing in the story is Erik plays football everyday, and Paul plays soccer every day. Those are the common things that happens in the book. These are what we considered to be the mundane actions.

message 11: by Daniel (new)

Daniel Today in our groups we discussed action because of setting. We came up with the sinkhole being the action because of the setting. It was only possible because of the weather and frequently occurring problems in Florida.

Fardeen Rizwan Today in our groups we discussed theme and author's message. The theme that we came up with in Tangerine was Paul gaining trust from his teammates on soccer. Due to this, he has gained more friends and is starting to have more fun in school.
