This was one of my favorite chapters. I will point out, though, a big misunderstanding of people who oppose Christianity is that God's way of bringing us to Him is threatening us with Hell if we don't come to Him. This sets God up as some big bad monster who's forcing us to love Him. Rather the light we should see this situation with man and God in salvation is that God is holy and just and is so pure He has to punish sin. But He love us like crazy. It's the image of a holy God who has to punish us but is so concerned for our welfare and his glory that He give us a way of escape. Sending us to hell is something He has to do, not something He wants. It's because He doesn't want us to go there He provided a way of escape.
See the difference in perspective? God is not like a priest who tortures a person and make them convert, rather He's a lifeguard who sees you drowning and throws a life preserver, and it's your choice whether you want to grab a hold and be saved. These are the only two options.
So yeah, just some of my thoughts.
