The very last day of the month and I have just started the monthly read. I'm enjoying it and I think it might be a quick read.

Martin Lovell is an architect who marries very young in 1892 and not entirely wisely. He and his wife are both innocent and affectionate but with completely different temperaments and interests.

Has anyone else read it, or started reading?

I wont be joining in on this read, but will for next month's read.

It slowed down after the first rush of young love in Rome, but I'm almost finished now. I have enjoyed it but it's not a high action book. Typical Persephone really, the life of an architect from early adulthood to the end, starting in 1892.
