I loved this book! I am not sure why. After I finished the book, I couldn't even move on. I felt that a part of me had died. At first I thought the book would be hard to get into but it was effortless. I just loved the book!
I finished the book in one sitting; it was absolutely riveting to read but i felt a bit let down at the end. I could not make out what message the author was trying to convey. Everything just kind of ended in a depressing note.

Especially since he shot Autumn (or at least I think that was her name). That KILLED me.
I agree Madelyn...(view spoiler) I read it through non-stop as well. My husband woke up to me bawling my head off at 3 in the morning but I still can't decide if I loved it or hated it. For sure it made me feel sadness, anger, hope, despair.
Will do AliJ.~ Now we have to adjust your response so it doesn't show the part I put into the spoiler. :D

I LOVED THIS BOOK!! Honest to speaking, I think this book dealt with many issue that people would rather not talk about. An emotionally exhausted teen, laying out his frustration build up since his dad was sort of abusive and his mom (can't quite remember...) passed away. Now, not spoiling anything, I felt that the end of the book was really intriguing and intense, to the point that it left now crying (literally) for almost an entire week. -Tyler is a character that one can connect to, I mean we've all been there; the lowest points of our lives, when everything looks to be meaningless and worthless. His sister, Autumn, is extremely lovable. I just love how her character develops through out the book, as she grows from being dependent on her brother to facing him at the end; to me, that would have required a whole lot of courage to do, mixed in with the fact that Tyler was such an unpredictable character, where one second he would be saving his sister from getting beaten up (cue their father) and the next second he'd simply punch her in the face.

There was no real conclusion to the story except he killed all these people because he felt alone.
