Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) Some Enchanted Evening Some Enchanted Evening (Lost Princesses, #1) by Christina Dodd

Once upon a time . . .

in a kingdom high in the Pyrenees, three young princesses were forced to flee the chaos in their land—vanishing without a trace and lost to their people . . . until the day a courageous prince can bring the princesses home.

One of Scotland's most dangerous men, Robert MacKenzie is dazzled by the enchanting beauty who rides into the town he is sworn to defend. Though he is wary of the exquisite stranger, Clarice stirs emotions within him that Robert buried deeply years before. And now he must have her at any cost, vowing to gain her trust through the powers of his sensuous seduction.

Torn between her need to protect her secrets and her aching desire for the dark, tormented earl of Hepburn, Clarice is pulled into Robert's glamorous world . . . and into his perilous plan for justice and revenge. And with the winds of treachery swirling around them, a runaway princess must draw Robert's heart from the shadows and make him believe in happily-ever-after.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 286 comments I just finished the book and liked it. Great intro for the series. I felt that the characters could have be developed a little more, but overall, I love the story, romance and touch of humor in the book.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) Thanks for the info, Anita. I haven't read it and if I can find a copy I will.

I think I still have my copy, Pamela. If you can't find one, let me know, and I'll mail you mine.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) I got the kindle for $1.99. But thanks!

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) I finished it but I wasn't thrilled with it.

It was hard for me to keep reading. The whole idea of the princess selling beauty products and traveling around telling everyone that she is a princess while she is supposed to be in hiding, just didn't work for me. I stuck with it and it got a little better but I never really fell in love with the characters or the book.

Jewel | 350 comments I agree with you Pamela

I'm finding it very difficult to get into and I'm not enjoying it.

From the moment she announced herself as a princess i became skeptical.

I'm going to try and read more before I quite.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 286 comments Very melodramatic in places and the evil commander didn't work for me.

Jewel | 350 comments Sorry guys
I'm giving up on this one

Im just not interested and i find myself reading something else and not coming back to it.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) I don't blame you, Jewel. It was hard for me too. It did get better after about the halfway mark but it was hard to get there.
