It seemed that Kate felt the need to assert herself and not allow them to intimidate her. I do think that her taking control of Derek's will was a bit of an overreaction though. She should have found a way to do it without humiliating Derek and challenging Curran's authority. Also liked her placing her hand in the fire and I wanted to know how she has so much knowledge of the shifters' secret customs.
I loved her bravadoo. It is intresting that her knowledge of the pack didn't extend to the consequences of taking control of Derek. It was almost like she wanted to try out the new words she had acquired. But then again she is showing a tendancy to act first, think later.
I agree with you all. Kate did need to assert herself with the pack otherwise they would never have taken her seriously. I do think that she went about this wrong though and it could have ended so much worse than what it did. And poor Derek he's just kind of a puppy and I felt bad for him.
