1) If you are typing in the role play, but not typing part of the story, you type in parentheses like this:
I had a bowl of cereal this morning!) Anna swung back and forth of her swing set humming a song.
2) When roleplaying, type in third person, always! No first or second! Never use any "I, my, me"Stuff like that! (Unless I say otherwise:D) ((RIGHT)) Third person is like this:
Shannon typed on her laptop.
((WRONG)) Second person is like this:
You typed on your laptop.
First person is like this:
I typed on my laptop.
3) When roleplaying, type in past tense unless you're in a special roleplay for present or future tense. Past tense is like this:
Deb looked out her window and saw it was raining.
Present tense is like this:
Deb looks out her window and sees it is raining.
Future tense is like this: (I have never(seriously? Why?) seen a roleplay in future tense, EVER)
Deb will looks out her window and see it is raining.
4) When roleplaying, try to use correct grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. It makes it easier to read. Please don't make posts like this: Ij satu dwon and skighde. (I sat down and sighed.) I can understand if you don't know how to spell a word(I can see that) or if you make a few typos, no one's perfect, not me(def.!). But try not to, it will make it easy for everyone, even you if you go back and try to read the post. So please, just try ppl!
5) You are not allowed to control other peoples' characters. You may not realize it, but that's what you're doing if you say something like:
Rper 1: Hannah ground her teeth, Jason was so rude! She slipped her leg out and tripped him, he fell to the ground and started crying like a baby.
Rper 2: Hey! I didn't want to do that!!!! What the hell?!?!?!?!) Jason swung out at her and punched her, she wept even more than he had.
This would cause a FIGHT, AVOID it!)
6) Your character CANNOT be anything BETTER than the others unless it is an leader(accepted by me or another mod) or it is allowed in the role play.(I wills say so.) That includes being the PRETTIEST or such things, and remember, no one can be perfect unless one of the gods, or fantasy. If it is a regular kid going to school, there has to be a problem.
7) When battling, I find that it works best to type small amounts such as:
Cassie drew her sword and swung at Ed's chest.
And then you would let the other person say something like:
Ed's sword lashed out effectively blocking Cassie's move and then making a move of his own.
That way the other person has a chance to say whether or not you had hit them or something.
8) I or one of the other mods will approve your character or ask you to change something before you roleplay.
9) (?) means you aren't sure about the spelling. Like you would say:
Sydney picked up the vaccum(?) and began cleaning her house.
10. Please have fun, this was not meant to be a downer. If anything, it was to help you better understand the world of Role playing. Any questions?
