2017 Reading Challenge discussion

This is probably the darkest and most heavily sci-fi book I've ever read and that's my favorite genre. This is full of tech and philosophy, an alien race contacting us and humanity having changed quite a bit at some point in the future. This book isn't an action romp. It's an introspective dive into the human condition. It was heavy, but good. Solid recommendation.
