YA Warriors Book Club discussion

February is upon us! Share your progress on City of Bones here, but remember to either warn of spoilers or avoid them if possible. :) Woohoo!

Personally, just so y'all know, I'm planning on reading City of Bones later in the month so it's fresh in my mind for the review / book talk. :D

I was planning to do the same, but I couldn't wait... so I already started ^_^

It has begun! I just started City of Bones (picking up where I left off before) and it's already more interesting than I remember haha

I'm 130 pages in!! I really didn't think I'd like it this much... It's looking like 4 start book so far!

The first hundred pages move pretty fast -- she really does start in on a hook :)

i finish the book ! It was good

Yeah the beginning is pretty fast and definitely had me hooked again (it's a reread for me). There was a part in the middle that felt a little slow, but now that I'm nearing the end it's picking up again :) I had forgotten how funny Simon was in this first book!

Whoaaa, good for you Mogu! Haha. I think I got stuck in the slow middle part the first time I picked up the book. I just moved past it and it picked up like you said Bregje haha.

SIMON IS BAE! <3 Personally, I think Jace is a douche haha

Okay, I just finished the book, and I cannot wait for our discussion because WTF IS GOING ONNNNNNNN! O.O

I'm almost 400pages in! I love this!

I finished it a couple of days ago. I did quite enjoy it, but not as much as I enjoyed it when I read it for the first time a couple of years ago.
I agree Ali, Jace is a douche! I really liked him when I read the book for the first time, but now I think his sarcasm is a bit over the top.

Clary was less annoying than I remembered her though!

I'm done! I actually really like both clary and Jace I felt that there is a underlining meaning behind the way Jace is and I'm excited to see his character development. Clary I thought I wasn't going to like, but she's actually a pretty strong character.

I'm not gonna lie, I found Clary super annoying at first but she started growing on me towards the end of the book. Her mistakes and faults made her more human.

I'm giving Jace room to grow, but I just couldn't like him! I know he has a past, so maybe as I learn more I'll feel differently, but right now it's like "having a sad life doesn't give you room to be a douche."

AHH I'm so late and my books not in yet! :( Hopefully it comes in soon....I'll have to read it all like the day I get it haha
