Why Not Read With Friends? discussion

(WARNING! Spoilers of the book could be in this discussion! So do not read the comments unless you've read Chapters 1-4 of Noughts and Crosses!)
How is everyone feeling about the book so far? Is it interesting enough for you or is it not? Is there anything you've really liked or disliked? How do you feel about the characters? Anything you would like to say/discuss about the book?

I like it so far, it's just so weird to read this perspective. It's like an alternative universe and it feels so weird to read. But I'm looking forward to the story unfolding. I just hope the crosses don't get any meaner than what I've read so far... But if I know anything about the history of racism, in general, this can get deadly and my heart will break.
