I loved those too.Have you read The Hourglass Door? That is a really good book. It is actually a trilogy. There aren't 2 different species, but they are very different. Try those ones.

Have you read the Dark Hunter / Dream Hunter / Were Hunter series? They all go together and all come before The Chronicles of Nick. And Nick is in pretty much all of them.
@ Dawn I wanted to, but I read the synopsis to all of them and I'm not sure if I'll like them or not. Are they good? Should I wait until I finish all of the Nick books so I don't get spoilers?
Yes I thought the books were really good and I liked them a lot. I wanted to read the Chronicles of Nike first as well until someone told me the Dark Hunter/Dream Hunter/Were Hunter series came before the Chronicles of Nick. I was glad I read all the other one's first because it help me understand the Chronicles of Nick a lot better. Most of the people in the Chronicles of Nick are all people he knows in the other series and things like that, you also learn everything about Nick in the other series. I didn't feel by reading the other books first that it spoiled anything for me when it came to me reading the Chronicles of Nick, if anything I think it help me understand the books a lot better and understand more about what was going on with Nick. I will also tell you The Dark Hunter/Dream Hunter/ Were Hunter is one big series, about 28 books so far and counting, and they all go together and are all mixed in with each other. And like I said Nick is in pretty much all of them and that's where your going to learn everything about him. I really hope this helps you. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me. I can even send you a list of all the books in order if you would like if it would help.
Thanks dawn if you can please make a list of the order I would really appreciate it :) and I did read all the mortal instruments (except the last one) but I was thinking and debating on reading the clockwork prince and stuff. Have you read them? Are they any good?
Hi Goodreaders, I'm Dawn and I'm new to the Goodreads world and I'd really like to meet new friends here! I love to read and just get lost in a book, there's just nothing else like it. I hope to hear from some of you Goodreaders , I'd love to meet and make some new friends in the reading world!
I have read them and they are good, and I liked them just as much as the mortal Instruments. I also read The Bane Chronicles and Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy. I liked them as well and have some of the same people in them.

I keep a list of all the books I have on my computer and a binder as well with all the series I have or have read and with them all in order and everything else. Lol - so if I can ever help you out with a list of books in order you might be reading, please let me know and if I have it I will send it to you.
Do you read paperback books or do you have an e-reader? I used to read paperback books, but I had so many I was running out of room and places to put them. So I donated them all and got a Kindle. I love my Kindle.
Thanks so much Dawn!! ^ _ ^ I also read paperbacks and hardcovers because I used to love the feel of the book and sometimes I'll still buy physical books when I find diamonds in the rough lol, but for the most part all my books are on my tablet now :) I had to change from my kindle because it broke - TWICE! and I used my nook, but then I got my tablet and I never leave the house with it so it became my e-reader too lol!
Plus it's so much easier to buy books especially when I find a series I need to get sequals to ASAP! Do you like it because of this too? What's your favorite genres by the way?
I loved physical books! I think that's way I had so many I ran out of places to put them. I loved the feel, the smell, everything, but I also wanted to keep them looking brand new and untouched, something none of us can do I'm sure. I believe that part came from the thought of how hard the authors had to work and sacrifice to bring their books to us, how much love and thought they put into them for us to enjoy.
As I said I ran out of room to even put physical books any more, so the Kindle just seemed the right choice for me. I love my Kindle, I can keep all my books on it and not have to worry about them getting damaged in anyway, shape or form. I can buy Kindle books 99% of the time cheaper than I can physical books and I can buy them anytime day or night without going anywhere. And as you said can I get the next book in a series ASAP! Lol I'm sorry to hear your Kindle broke, not once but twice. I buy a new one every time one comes out. I will either give people my old one's as gifts or sell them to them very cheap. I have also bought many as gifts. At this time I have 3 of them, but I really only use one as the main one I read on. But I keep them all up to date and download all my books to each. I also have a ipad I keep all my books on as well.
As for my favorite genres - I'm not really sure I have a favorite, I like to read just about anything. However I do see I have a great deal of books about vampires, and even werewolves. But I also have a lot of books about so many other things, that I enjoyed reading just as much. So yeah I guess at this time I would say I don't really have one. I'm open to pretty much anything, however I do prefer to read series. I will read a single or stand a lone book every now and again, but I like series better. What is your favorite genres? And do you prefer to read series or single books?
Have you ever bought a book or a series and then wasn't sure if you'd really like it, so you put off reading it forever? And if so what was it and did you end up enjoying it? For me it was Harry Potter. I got the books for a friend of mine and I had seen all the movies and really liked them, but I just wasn't so sure about the books for some reason. So when I ran out of books and needed to buy more and Harry Potter was the only series I had left, I thought ok I've had these books now for a few years, so I might as well read them. And I have to say, I was a little upset with myself for not reading them sooner. I really enjoyed them a great deal and there was just so much more to them then I expected.
Dan Browns book that have Robert Langdon in them. Most of his books involve Langdon in them, but you can read them in any order. I put them off untill this year, but they are amazing. There are some parts though that...um...how do I put this...you have to be really mature about it and not judgemental. Most of the things that people do in this book is for religion and a lot of people judge because they do weird things. I think that other religions are amazing, and incredible to learn about.

I loved how the character was so streetsmart! He had principles and I loved it! I liked that i learned something while reading one of the most refreshing reads i've read in a while!
I also thought it was similar to teen wolf (also a love). Two diffrrent species but they both had more than one preternatural creature running around. They also taught you certain principles on life and they had he same charisma. They both were "natural" personality. Like they didnt have to try hard to be friends with people or to be good people. It was just all natural.
And i guess the last key is wit. I love books have wit and sarcasm and that are just funny. This book was all three of those ALL the way through!
So if anyone could recommend anything with these 3 elements combined that has the same feel as Nick please reply!!
