The Game
I let my mind wander for a second, and then I've got started on another story

{Characters}
A girl (main character), a Pacifist
A guy (main character), a Pacifist
Girl's family ~ mother, father, and sister
Host of The Game

{Plot}
The year is 2050. With all the violent scenes shown on TV, kids have grown up more than used to violence. Their grandkids and grand-grandkids now have certain genes and hormones in them that make them extremely aggressive.

The Game is a reality TV show targeted at the violent, blood-thirsty audience of the 2050s. It is the most popular TV show of all times. Contestants compete to win $1,000,000 prize and other expensive prizes. But in order to win, they must hurt, torture and kill the other contestants.

In a world full of violence and violent people, one out of a thousand people are normal, with a normal tolerance for violence. But because everyone else has become so violent, these normal people are considered weird and abnormal. These 'weirdos' are called 'Pacifists'.

Contestants are chosen randomly for The Game. Invitations are sent to the people who's ID numbers were chosen. The ID numbers cannot be changed, so whoever is picked must join The Game. That is all part of the 'fun and excitement' of The Game, claim its fans. Some wait for their whole life, hoping to be picked to join the exclusive Game, but never are.

When Girl A, a pacifist, is chosen to enter The Game, she is horrified and tries to avoid it. Her sister tries to help her change the ID card number, in order to help her, and also because her sister really wants to enter The Game. But it has been made unhackable and therefore unchangeable, so Girl A is forced to join The Game.

After a while, she meets someone at The Game who doesn't seem as agressive as the others. She suspects that he is just pretending to be a Pacifist to play a joke on her or something, but soon she realises that he really is a Pacifist.

Guy A is the Pacifist who is really good at pretending to be 'normal'. He has gotten lots of practice from being in school and around his agressive family.

Guy A and Girl A decide to help each other survive The Game, and perhaps end it before more contestants die, but it is not easy. Will they be able to stop the TV show? Or will The Game go on?

I can't believe I've written so much about it! Wow. Okay, so what do you guys think of the story idea? And yes, I swear that I came up with this in a short burst of crazy imagination!

Hallie (inkyhallie) I love the idea! It reminds me of The Hunger Games, but this sure will be different. Well it be written in first person narrative or third?

Thanks! And that's a good question, Hallie. I haven't quite decided the point of view yet.

Hallie (inkyhallie) Haha. I couldn't prevent myself from asking.

Amy Of Tarth | 129 comments Yeah, it does remind me quite a lot of the hunger games, but id still read it.
