Stacy  Benedict | 12 comments Almost all of Larry McMurtry's novels are set partially in Texas. He didn't just write the Lonesome Dove novels either. He wrote Terms of Endearment, Evening Star, The Last Picture Show, Texasville...all at least partially in Texas.

There's a new YA novel called Dumplin, also set in Texas. Can't recall the author's name.

Great book, story based here in Ft. Worth, Tx. It is being made into a movie that will be out this spring.
