Hi Team BatmanOr maybe I should say batgirls? ;)
I hope you are all looking forward to this challenge as much as I do :-)
Ooooh that is a yummy picture!! Definitely something I'd put as background image on my pc :-DBut *ahem*

We don't even need to stress...
hehe, glad I could help you out?No stress huh?
Do you know what that sounds like to me? Your TBR is way, way to short. I'll just go and hunt down a few more books for you to add ;)
I did spend quite a while deciding on which Batman picture to use for the start of your discussion thread! I quite liked the one I ended up with ;)
Yeah, I do not envy you picking out the team pictures, soo many good ones out there! :-)I like that one as well!
I think the word for that Batman picture is "special". Lol!Hi everyone, so happy that Uno is back. :) Looking forward to it.
Sarah wrote: "I think the word for that Batman picture is "special". Lol!"Haha, you are absolutely right! :D
Sorry for being mia for the past few days.Where are you ladies from and what do you like to read?
ETA: Could you also post a link to your uno-shelves and I'll add it to the post at the top.
I'm from Sweden and my favorite genres are chick-lit, YA and New Adult. I try to mix it up with thrillers, supernaturals and dystopians, but I always tend to return to my favorites:) It depends on my mood when picking the next book to read (if it's not for a challenge of course;))
Hi all.I didn't realise the thread was up for this until I received a direct message this morning ha!
Tina wrote: "I'm from Sweden and my favorite genres are chick-lit, YA and New Adult. I try to mix it up with thrillers, supernaturals and dystopians, but I always tend to return to my favorites:) It depends on ..."A great mix of books! :)
Do you have an all time favourite?
Well, I have a few books in my All-time-favourite-shelf;) But I would say these (I can't narrow it down to one):
What about you?
Haha, something tells me you've had extremely great blind dates ;-)I really can't choose one (or a few), but some of the best ones I read last year was:
Here is my shelf: uno-2016I'm in the UK and fed up of February weather. :(
I read most things but not romance - I'll probably read lots of different things during the challenge. I do HAVE to carry on rereading Harry Potter so I'm ready for the script of the play when it comes out. Surely that will work for Reverse, if I don't manage to find anything else (some shelf stalking has not looked promising on that front - but I do have A Man Called Ove that I could read). ;)
Thanks Sarah, I'll add it to the post :-)It's a fun book to read, I truly recommend it! :D
I'm thinking that the 7'ns will be most difficult to find, Not too many authors/characters/locations starting with V (and there are a limited no of series you are reading that you are up to no 7)
I know what you mean. Like Tina, I'm also from Sweden. southern parts, and we've had such a wet winter that everything is floating... I'm ready for spring to visit!
Where in UK do you live?
I'm in the South West, so we have pretty mild winters compared to Sweden (no snow this year), but it is wet. Often. It is time to hoard all those Victoria's for the 7s I think! And a friend suggested that there was a Jules Verne (I think it was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea that should be read (or reread) before picking up The Martian, which I have on hold on overdrive. There are 8 people ahead of me so I think it will come in about May, but who knows, perhaps it will surprise me.

[b..."Guilty:) I know I have more favorites, but I don't seem to remember anything before Goodreads...
And right now my mind is set on light and funny:)
I've heard so much about Harry Dresden and I want to try them. And [book:A Man Called Ove|18774964] is in my parents shelf and I got tickets for the show , so I really should read it before that at least:) It's unusual with a book that my parents have read and not me!

Haha, it's the same for me. Was there a life before GR? (or before reading challenges)
Actually I was very reluctant to read, A Man Called Ove, but mom nagged me about it, and I wasn't disappointed, it is light hearted and funny ;-) *hint, hint*
You really need to read Dresden, they are really funny too. Do the audio. Two words: James. Masters. ! *drooling*

Yeah, it doesn't snow much in UK. I remember when I lived in Glasgow and we got snow. It was chaos (to say the least!) I was just sitting back, shaking my head ;-). The early spring was nice though. As for the wet, I didn't think it was that much difference than what we get here, so I didn´t mind that much :-)
I don't think there were a life before GR, not that I remember at least;) I used to keep track of my read book in Excel, but a while back that file got damaged or something, so now I must make a new list of all my books:( And that will take me some time...I get the hint, I will try to fit it in somewhere;)
I've never tried an audio book, I'm afraid I'll fall asleep!
My book shelf: uno-booksxI come from the North East of England, in the UK. I will read just about anything. The only thing I'm not so keen on is sci-fi stuff. Currently, I've been reading a mixture of non-fiction books (usually about serial killers), and young adult fiction. I am up for reading anything and everything for this challenge.
Tina - I think you can export your book list from GR into excel so you don't have to type it all out yourself. :)
It's on the My Books page, on the left, underneath your list of shelves, in tools - import/export.Ha ha, yeah, was there really life before GR? I decided I wouldn't go back and add books I'd read before joining, as it would be a neverending task. Good luck with your list!

Oh yeah, we shut down at a sprinkle of snow. ;) I am willing on the daffodils - it must be spring soon right?
Sarah wrote: "Oh yeah, we shut down at a sprinkle of snow. ;) I am willing on the daffodils - it must be spring soon right? "I'm well aware... I was stuck at Heathrow for 5 days due to some dust.... it was ridiculous =P
I was sure I was going to miss Christmas that year.
Tina wrote: "I get the hint, I will try to fit it in somewhere;)I've never tried an audio book, I'm afraid I'll fall asleep! "
Oh good, I was worried I was being a bit too subtle ;-)
I was worried about the same thing before I started listening. Then Denise convinced me (and E) to do the Dresden with audio and they were great! (avoid the public when listening - people tend to stare at you when you laugh out loud for nothing) =P
Harry Potter with Stephen Fry is also a good start.
Maria responded to my PM so I've asked her to check in here. Hopefully she will! (note: in sign-ups it has "Aria" which must've been a typo when she completed the form)
Sooo.. how will we be going about planning which books we're reading for March, and who's reading what?
