Hi,I'm the captian, I need everyone to friend me and I'd prefer if you'd set up special shelves. PM me anytime!
if I have shelves and you tell me which order you'd like to read them in I can get going on that our first hand is: Two 7s, 2 Reverses, a SKIP, a 1, and DRAW 2.
Brittany wrote: "I read really fast so do we know yet how you want to decide out the cards in the hands?"also for reverses use compare shelves
Hey all!!! Love the name as well.I'll send friend requests to everyone. :)
My shelf is set up under Uno2016
I read about 2 books per week sometimes more depending on how busy I am at work. :)
Can't wait to get started! I can have a book ready to read so I'm in agreement on getting the hands set up :)
So this is what we need to read:*7
Read a book that:
- has a 7 or Seven in the title
- has a title starting with V
- has an author first name or surname starts with V
- has a character with a first name, surname or nickname starting with V
- is set in a place name starting with V
- is book 7 in a series
*Reverse
One member of your team must read a book another team member has already read
*Skip
Read a book that:
- has a title starting with K or P
- has an author first name or surname starts with K or P
- has a character with a first name, surname or nickname starting with K or P
- is set in a place name starting with K or P
OR you can choose to "skip" reading a book for this cards (and get no points for this card)
*Reverse
One member of your team must read a book another team member has already read
*1
Read a book that:
- has a 1 or One in the title
- has a title starting with O
- has an author first name or surname starts with O
- has a character with a first name, surname or nickname starting with O
- is set in a place name starting with O
- is book 1 in a series
*7
Read a book that:
- has a 7 or Seven in the title
- has a title starting with V
- has an author first name or surname starts with V
- has a character with a first name, surname or nickname starting with V
- is set in a place name starting with V
- is book 7 in a series
*Draw 2
Use the same book for two cards in this hand (and get points for both cards)
Melissa, I'll be taking care of the spreedsheet here's a copy of the tracking sheet: Team Members Books that's what I'm going to fill in to plan and as we go, don't just worry about the first hand we have 13 hands per month!I'd prefer no claiming just give me a list of your books and I'll make it work.
awesome - thanks!!Edit: Do you want us to just list them in this thread as we read them? Do you also want to know what we are currently reading or just what is read?
List them as your reading and finishing them, either here or in a PM any early notice to what people will be reading first would be great!
To confirm: nothing counts unless you begin reading after March 1?I have an idea re:Reverses which might be fun...we have 7 over all the hands, and there is 6 of us. What we could do is each nominate a genre that we want to read, and then everyone could make a suggestion for that person to read based on their personal "read" list.
For example, say I wanted to read a YA novel, I would ask all of you to suggest one for me out of your "read" lists, and then I pick one that I love the sound of...could be fun, I love getting recommendations ;)
Hi everybody! Checking in a lil late. I guess I have to reserve some chunky books towards the end too because I forgot how this challenge is a marathon. I'm currently doing 4 team challenges with different paces so I'll try to fit books for all 4. I read almost anything but lately I'm into fantasy and crime. I love to read fun fluff too in between of course! And it's easier to read (faster too)!! Let's have fun ;)

Yes, it doesn't count if it's started before March 1st. I've compared my books to everyone's and I'm going to re-read(or listen to): 1st to Die
Hi everyone. I read about 1 book a week. This is my first time in one of these challenges, so I may need a little advice in order to help the team. I read just about anything that will attract my attention. I love to get suggestions.

Okay, so I have been trying to figure out the best way to do this. I usually read about 1 or 2 books a day. So any books that I tell you guys about I will most likely finish by the time the challenge starts.
I don't really have a favorite genre, but lately I have been reading a lot of mystery and romance. I am also in 3 other reading challenges, so I have to wait until they release the March list.

And don't worry you're our biggest reader!
New to this. In order to use the "reverse", is it a book that is read within the 3 months, or any book that was previously read by a team member?

Avid - do you want us to PM you a list of our books or create a shelf? Which is easier for you? I can bounce around and read whatever is necessary at any time (as long as it is available from the library) so I'll start planning my own books. :)
thanks I did mine in 4 shelves 1 for all Uno 2014 and one for each of the 3 months they're tentative of course, as everyone's will be until we start.
I have 2 shelves: My READ shelf - Uno2016
My TBR (which I will be adding to throughout the challenge) shelf - Uno2016-To Read
Brittany wrote: "Easiest way to post the links?"put in the shelf link and shelf title you can copy the link html under some html is ok
If anyone has a book that will work for either 7 (Seven): Read a book that:
- has a 7 or Seven in the title
- has a title starting with V
- has an author first name or surname starts with V
- has a character with a first name, surname or nickname starting with V
- is set in a place name starting with V
- is book 7 in a series
Reverse
One member of your team must read a book another team member has already read
we can use that book for 3 cards in the first hand of March, so if it's one you can read right away that's great
Also for hand 5 we could use a Reverse or
3 (Three)
Read a book that:
- has a 3 or Three in the title
- has a title starting with H
- has an author first name or surname starts with H
- has a character with a first name, surname or nickname starting with H
- is set in a place name starting with H
- is book 3 in a series
we could use that book for 3 cards also
Ashlee wrote: "I can do the 7 with Free Fall by Fern Michaels. It's the 7th book in the Sisterhood Series."That would be great! That will knock out 3 cards from the first hand.
I will read Vanishing Girls which you have read Avid for the first hand Reverse card.I will read Heir of Fire which will work for 3 (three) Hand 5 . I have it on my Nook so I can start whenever we need it.
I think someone has read "All the Bright Places", which is on my list. So, I think that will work for a reverse.
