I love that this book is really focused on a friendship, rather than introducing a relationship right from the start, it is refreshing in the world of YA :) That isn't to say I'm not looking forward to the romance-y bits.

I agree with you, Taryn, about the world building. I think this is a really interesting world that I'm enjoying reading about, but I feel like I want more ... a chart of the types of witches would help I think. There is just a lot of new information which makes it hard to place the book.

Exactly! I wish more fantasy novels had charts, maps, family trees ...
