I read the book, I also thought it was a quick fun read... my younger 9 year old brother actually recomended it to me he said he loved it.. Him and I finally persuaded our parents to take us to the theater to watch it in 3D and I was a little disappointed because they cut out my favorite part.. the tea party at the end..
I just watched it last night, and I said the same thing! I was looking forward to the tea party I really liked that part! What did you think about the other changes they made?
I think that the Wybie was kinda annoying.. =)
I agree, I really didn't see a need from them to add a character like that...it wasn't so bad that it ruined it for me...I was just left asking why?
Yea.. I think they could have incorporated the characters in the book more into the movie..
Wybie didn't really make sense. There wasn't really a reason to add him.I really liked the book. I read it last year after seeing the movie trailer and thinking that it sounded really interesting. The book really creeped me out, but in a good way.
I actually listened to this book on CD with Neil Gaiman as the reader and he makes it even more fantastic!! It seems Neil Gaiman reads all of his books for the audio books and he has one of the best voices ever- so worth listening to. I believe the movie did justice to the book and stuck to the true nature. It was different but it was not a bad different this time.
I read it at the weekend, I gave it 5 stars. I loved the character Coraline, I found her quite funny the way she behaved and spoke. Gaiman's writing style really appealed to me too. It was a nice quick read and now I want to see the film too.
This was the first book I ever read by Gaiman and I just love his style. I quickly went on to read Stardust which I loved and I can't wait to read more and more of his work.
Jenna, you should totally read The Graveyard Book. It is also very good. I too plan on reading more of his books. Hopefully I can have a Neil Gaiman month next year. That would be fun.
