Does Maggie have a drinking problem?

Good question! I thought the same thing. Not sure if it will go away now and will be interesting to see in the next book.

To a certain extent she does although I would not say that she's an alcoholic. It isn't a craving and it doesn't affect her judgement.

In the middle of the book I noticed how much she was drinking and wondered if she had a problem. I guess we'll see.

She was relying on Scotch quite a bit. If she doesn't have a problem now, she may be heading towards it. Time will tell but there's enough here to be concerned.

Yes and no. She seems to drink a lot when she's stressed and needs to relax, but it doesn't seem to affect her job.

Drinking when you're stressed, especially in her profession, is what I found troublesome. That stress isn't going away.

I would say that she does have a drinking problem and that she craves scotch. It seems everytime she cant accept something or under a lot if pressure she needs her alcohol and becomes drunk.
