I didn't understand this decision. Yes, she's suffering but who knows Stucky better than she does? Even Tully was insistent that she be brought in.
I think Cunningham was trying to protect her. At the time they found the pizza delivery girl's body, Maggie was at her conference and away from her new home. I think he thought it was better for her to be out of the picture and not near Stuckey. Of course, Stuckey followed her anyway.
They're trying to capture a mastermind serial killer and they sideline their best profiler who's also being stalked by him (maybe). I thought he was being too parochial. Would he have done this if she were a man?

Probably not. Cunningham is protective of Maggie.
