He may think he loves her, but that would only be true if or when he puts her first. When would that have been?
Greg is too self absorbed to love anyone other than himself. To him, Maggie should put aside her career and focus on him and their marriage. Seeing the way he treats her in the book put a different slant on her attraction to Nick in the previous book. It makes it more understandable if not acceptable.
Good point Lauren! Greg is just awful. So selfish and pig headed. Also did I remember correctly that he didn't know about Maggie's conflict with Stucky? How could he not when she has a huge scar across her torso?
In the first book, he didn't know anything about what happened with Stucky. They hadn't been intimate in the light!
Greg comes first so everything he does is through that lens. Nothing he says or foes is out of care for Maggie. Creep.
I don't like Greg. He only cares about himself. I don't think he is truly worried about her. I think he's looking at how it may affect him. I couldn't believe that he didn't know about her conflict with Stucky. Even if they hadn't been intimate, you would think he would have been contacted when she was in the hospital.
