Was it logical that everyone (Tully, Gwen, Kyle) doubted Maggie's assessment that the murders and disappearances of Rachel and Tess were connected to Stucky?

At first it would be the proverbial girl cries wolf story, wouldn't it?

To me, it was as if they thought Maggie was losing objectivity because of her own conflict with Stucky. On the one hand, they may have had a point but on the other, they should have kept an open mind to the possibility that Maggie was right.

Yes I agree with you Lauren. Although Maggie was a bit blinkered they should have considered the possibility that she was right. They may have found Rachel and Tess sooner.

I agree with Lauren. They probably thought Maggie was ready to point at every little thing that happened as caused by Stuckey, but they really should have investigated the disappearances better since they knew he was in the area and other women were missing. As soon as they realized that the pizza girl had been murdered in the house that Tess had been showing to a prospective buyer, they should have figured out she'd been the next person kidnapped.

I agree with all of your points. The best thing to happen for her was Tully. In him, she had someone who could step back and outline the circumstances. No one else took a step back and had her outline her point of view. They took the easy route out for someone who deserved better. Until Stucky, she'd been their best profiler. They were too willing to dismiss her, warts notwithstanding, but she'd earned the right to be heard.

They don't do this to men.

I don't feel it was logical at all. With everything that had happened, you would think that they would start trusting her instincts. They were overlooking her instincts due to how she had been acting.
