2017 Reading Challenge discussion

I enjoyed the movie and had been wanting to read the book so I thought this would be perfect.

Did you enjoy the book?

I did enjoy the book. I wouldn't say I preferred one over the other. I went back and re-watched the movie and of course noticed parts from the book missing or changed. I think if i had read the books first it might have bothered me more.

If you read the second book "Insurgent" you will see that many parts of the book were left out in the movie. It is still a good movie but I did not think it did the book justice.

After seeing the movie, I immediately read the entire series! Too early for this challenge, but it's rare that a movie prompts me so strongly...I had to find out what happened!

I really enjoyed this book. It only took me a few days to get through it. I have seen the movies, but the book provides a stronger analysis of the dystopian future world and the characters. I think this is a good example of when the two pair nicely together. The writing was well-constructed and the topic matter addressed very interesting. I also enjoyed the characters.
