1. It would be terribly lonely and sad . Any attachements you make are going to fade away and then you have to start over again with new people. 2. I thought Simon and Abigail were really nice and thought would be good friends for Eliza.
3. It certainly seemed since Jack the Ripper was after prostitutes that it would make sense he follows them from his clinic. But if I were him I would wonder if I would be following sick ones home as I may catch their illness. LOL.
3. Yes , he seems to be her protector.
4. I think he is gone, but then we have the rest of the book to get through , so I doubt it. I was surprised she had that strength of power in her.
