amg Welcome to the sixth part of our re-read of The Witch's Daughter! On this thread, you can discuss the book up to Chapter 7. Please be considerate and don't jump ahead -- we don't want to spoil anything for the first-time readers among us!

To kick off the discussion, here are five questions for you to answer in the comments section below.

Discussion Questions:
1. How do you think you'd cope with immortality? How would you feel as you watched the world change around you? Would you be lonely like Eliza?
2. What was your first impression of Simon and Abigail? What about Signor Gresseti?
3. How do you think Eliza and the Jack the Ripper murders are connected? Do you believe her theory about the Ripper?
4. Do you think Eliza was wise to agree to stay with Simon?
5. Do you think Gideon is gone for good? In the scene where Eliza confronts him, were you surprised by how powerful she is?

Magiccats 1. It would be terribly lonely and sad . Any attachements you make are going to fade away and then you have to start over again with new people.
2. I thought Simon and Abigail were really nice and thought would be good friends for Eliza.
3. It certainly seemed since Jack the Ripper was after prostitutes that it would make sense he follows them from his clinic. But if I were him I would wonder if I would be following sick ones home as I may catch their illness. LOL.
3. Yes , he seems to be her protector.
4. I think he is gone, but then we have the rest of the book to get through , so I doubt it. I was surprised she had that strength of power in her.
