Mathias has a brilliant mind and loves to debate, whether the topic is current politics or esoteric ideology. He seeks an honest, intelligent exchange and is elated when he meets his match. He's interested in everything in life and is genuinely interested in other people. He wants to know what people think and how they formed their opinions. His passion can flare as easily as a fire doused with gasoline. By the same token, his fire can be extinguished if he's robbed of his natural need for freedom and being center stage. The fire stokes Mathias' passion and compassion. If he senses an injustice, he'll feel outraged and won't rest until justice has been re-established. He can be self-absorbed and self-centered, but he can just as easily abandon all thought of himself if he sees someone in trouble. He'll rush in where fools never would, but he will conquer all obstacles and come out victorious. Mathias exudes warmth. While he many be a showman, he's all heart, and that heart is as big as the world. Mathias can inspire with an eloquent speech and motivate anyone to join his latest cause. Just like a king ruling over his kingdom, he has a sense of obligation to take care of those close to him. He feels that he knows the meaning of life and wants to share what he's learned with everyone. Mathias does everything with flair and finesse, just in the way you'd expect from royalty.

Bold from a young age, Mathias was used to doing things his own way. Opportunity for someone of his stature was easy to come by, being one of the ten high families, they were better off than most. A family drowning in their own luxuries, Mathias is the eldest and only son of a Magnetron and a Silencer, both very skilled in their crafts. They were affluent in the matters of their abilities, learning to control and wield them like true masters. Mathias and his elder sister, Darcy, even had an intense rivalry as to who was better at controlling their powers. They took it upon themselves to better themselves in any way possible, using the other as a compatible opponent in competition to somehow surpass them. Despite all of their attention into their respective abilities, he took it upon himself to indulge in other things as well. Unlike her, he is more prone to taking interest in things that are not so appropriate for their family's values, especially considering their high status. Surrounded by an environment of machinery and metals, oddly enough, Mathias ignored the norms of his family, searching for things outside of his realm. As a means of escaping the shell his parents had set for him and his sister, Mathias acted anything but what his parents wished for him.

Despite their hopes for portraying the perfect family, he did everything he could to ruin the image. A reputation built with his growth throughout the years. As a young child, it would be disrespecting the elder, obnoxious lady on the corner of the street that everyone hated. As an adolescent, it was behaving badly in his classes, acting out and not letting others focus. As a young adult, he became quite the playboy and many grew even further concerned when his interest piqued in both genders. Reveling in that sort of attention, whether it was admiration or just plain resentment and envy, Mathias continued to work with his reputation, making sure everyone remembered him. This did not bode well with his parents, ashamed that their son acted in any manner he could just to differentiate himself from everyone else. They asked why being unique mattered so much that he would rather trash his entire reputation for it. He still does not have an answer. Regardless, Mathias is known for some qualities, but not every action of his has resulted in negative reactions. Quite an amicable person actually, with his confident and blunt way of living, he has managed to befriend a considerable number of others, all of whom belong to the other influential families. His best friend, the younger prince Calore, and him have been in each other's company for nearly their entire lives. While the two act as brothers normally, it appears that soon they will become in-laws due to Darcy's impending marriage to Montgomery Calore, the eldest prince.
