I just love the world that Anne Rice creates. I am currently reading "Angel Time" which is also written by her. It revolves around a man named Toby O'Dare who is an ex-Catholic and underground assassin, struggling with morality and his views on religion after a tragic experience. I highly recommend it. Oh, and yes Angel Time does come in Large Print for those who are wondering :)

YASSSS with the revival!! LMFAO I have heard of her Shakespeare's Landlord series, but I think at the time when I was fending for the next installment in the Sookie Series, I couldn't get into it ( me being spoiled lol) But I do have the first book

Okay now, i'm getting hyped about this Midnight series. Honestly, I haven't heard much about this series, and I'm happier that way, especially when it comes to her books, i feel the less I know the better, that's how I fell in love with her Sookie Series. But hunty, I sure will hit you up when I'm starting it and I the feels that I'm sure to feel.

I think it's safe to say that everyone has different taste in books. What I like may not necessarily appeal to others, vice versa. I'm sure if you go through my shelf, you would be like....what is wrong with this chick?! :P
I'm only glad to see people reading more, that' in itself is amazing.
This is just my opinion, but most of the YA fantasy books tend to fall into my category of "cheesy vampire novels" lol
Twilight was a big one. When the movie came out I was like....what is this?! :P
However; it was very popular and had a large following, so the author must have done something right! A lot of my friends had read the series and kept talking about it, so I did give it a try but couldn't connect with it at all. Anne Rice did give her huge props, although she admitted to not being a fan - so there's that.
I think vampires always give off a mysterious and romantic persona, but I like a little history with them as well. I guess it just comes off as more realistic, if that makes any sense! lol
I checked the author you mentioned, seems fun! I'll have to give it a try when I'm done with the Vampire Chronicles :)
How were the books by Anne's son by the way? I haven't read any! :O
I just started reading The Trouble With Magic for this challenge. I've had the 2nd installment sitting on my shelf for a while and finally decided to check the first book out from the library. Pretty excited to start as the series has been on my radar for a bit.
In regards to your question on dipping in and out of series but aren't sure why it resonates with me, I am not a very critical reader to tell you the truth. I just need to be entertained. I think it's why I have a hard time explaining why I liked a book to others. When I read something, I want to be swept up in the story. If the book manages to do that, I'm happy.

I decided to read Maggie because I had heard you talk about her! I needed that push to finally dive into the series, thanks!
I did not read that manga you mentioned, but I just added it to my list. Have you read or watched Death Note, Vol. 1: Boredom? I watched it a while back and read 5 volumes and enjoyed them. That's a pretty popular series right now on BookTube. I'm watching Assassination Classroom, Vol. 1: Time for Assassination currently and like it as well. If you decide on that one though, read or watch. The manga is almost exactly as the show. Another mystery type manga series I enjoyed last year was Sherlock Bones 1.
Hope something I mentioned sounds interesting. I would appreciate more manga/anime suggestions too! Feel free to send me a message whenever ^-^
