Hey all! Thought I'd post the rules here as a ref. I'll post links to our UNO shelves later in as I'm just reformatting my computer. About this team challenge
◈ This is a 3 month team challenge starting 1 March 2016
◈ At the end of the challenge 31 May 2015 the team with the most points wins!
◈ At the start of each month each team is given a minimum 12 hands of 7 "UNO" cards
◈ The idea is to "play" each hand for points. It is up to the team how many "hands" they can get through in the month, but they must play one hand completely before being able to get points for the next
◈ The team can choose to skip an entire hand to get to the next one, but they are not given a replacement hand

It's my first time doing any challenge, but I'm so amped for it to get going! I'm not sure whether to add to my UNO bookshelf in preparation, or wait to see the hand were dealt.
Hello everyone :)This is my second Uno challenge and I was on the winning team last time so fingers crossed we can be the victors this time.
Can everyone see the link for the spreadsheet to see our first hand?
Shall I start us off? I'm going to go for number 4 in the first round and go for Favel Parrett- Past the shallows
Hello! This is the first time I play Goodreads Uno. I'm nervous and excited! Just point me in the right direction and I'll do my best to help us win!
Hi! I'm excited to be reading with you guys! This is my 2nd challenge, and first UNO challenge! My shelf is uno-2016: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
Just off the top of my head, I could do #7 (character Vin in
), #2 (2nd book in series
), or #0 (standalone book
). I'm sure I could fit into others if we needed. :)

Hey Rachael!
Yup, I can see the spreadsheet - who has admin rights on it? You won last year!?!? Pressure!... :D
I could take one of the 6's with Spook, by Mary Roach. It's one of my TBR, and I have the book here already.
Soo... I'm a mood reader, and I never plan my reading in advance. Is that a problem? I guess I can always try to fill in the blanks where needed.

They're crazy addictive. Be prepared. ;)
I just realized there were cards already listed, and here I was just guessing randomly at books I've had on my list to read... Haha.In my defense, my mind is on the paper I'm trying to finish for this next week. -_-
Lolis wrote: "For the first hand I would like to read for 9. Breakfast at Tifany's . Setting in New York"Ooohh, good choice, I've added it to the hand 1 post. If we get a reverse down the track I might read that one too, I've always been meaning to.
Filipa wrote: "Soo... I'm a mood reader, and I never plan my reading in advance. Is that a problem? I guess I can always try to fill in the blanks where needed."I don't think it should be a problem? Just let us know what you're reading when you're reading, and it should fit in somewhere... if not in the 'current' hand, then hopefully in an upcoming hand. If you just add all your read books to your UNO shelf from 1 March on, we can see what will fit where.
For the other 6 I'll read The Vampire's Assistant !
Author's last name starts with S or we can use it for 5 Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant
This is the first time I'm doing a challenge like this so I'm hoping it goes well I'm totally excited !! :) not sure what to read Though

*waves* hey hey!
So cool to see you as captain this time! :-D
This is my second time too, I was captain last time and it was hard work, just going for fun this time.Since hand one is fully spoken for I will look at hand 2 and choose something soon.

Hey Emma! We still need a 5 and a reverse for hand one, but I've added hand 2 to the post in case you've got something in mind for that one :)
Andrea wrote: "This is the first time I'm doing a challenge like this so I'm hoping it goes well I'm totally excited !! :) not sure what to read Though"We still need a 5 or a reverse if you can think of any books that fit in there! Plus theres hand 2.
Also - if you're stuck for inspiration, we still need a reverse for hand one, so any book from any of our 'read' shelves should satisfy that one :)
Hi. This also my first time I will be doing a challenge. Nice meet you all.Reverse: Lord of the Flies
I believe that several of our team have already read this book.
Emma wrote: "Okay I will fill in card 5. I will read Paperglass the author's surname begins with I (Ivanovich)"Fantastic. All we need now is a reverse, and hand 1 is complete. I will end up reading Breakfast at Tiffany's as part of the BoTM, if I wait until Jennifer has it in her 'read' collection - do you think it will count towards the reverse card?

Ok, great. Thanks Catherine. :)
Rachael wrote: "While I wait to be able to update the spreadsheet, where are you guys all from? I'm from England"I'm from Portugal.

That's awesome, I would really love to visit New Zealand one day. :)
Who chooses what the numbers/cards are for each hand? And is there any card left or did I just come to late :/ sorry I have been busy but I will come on frequently now.
Lastly, I am from Austria:)
I will take the reverse. I can read Cinder by Marissa Mayer or Since you've been gone. I am leaning more towards Cinder. I saw that Andrea read the book.
:) Both Melissa and Karin both have the reverse now, so I'll leave Karin in there as she was first (sorry I missed your post earlier), but if you guys want to swap, just let me know.Since you've been gone could still work for hand 2 (6) - if you still want to read it let me know and I'll slot it in there.
And Alisha - if you want to take Lolis' 6 from hand 1, let me know which book you want. Otherwise, feel free to work on any of the other hands! We get a new deal at everymonth, so there's heaps of reading left to be done in March alone.
In fact - I'll put up the other hands now. It'd be great if we can aim to fill up the earlier hands first, as we will only get points for later hands if it's complete, but if you're reading something anyway, we should see if it can fit somewhere :)
Rachael wrote: "While I wait to be able to update the spreadsheet, where are you guys all from? I'm from England"Hi, I'm from Netherlands
Oh okay. I see now. Thanks guys :DAnd yes Catherine, I would like to take Lolis' card (thank you for offering). I'll read The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins (Author's first name S). I actually have never read The Hunger Games. I can choose another if it's too common. I could maybe read Lolis' book in that case.
Stacie wrote: "I can take the 7 in hand two. Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov"Ooh -- I loved that book!
And Alisha - it doesn't have to be a rare books, Hunger games is great!!
I've updated the list.
