Many people run into a hard time when reading the Bible. Most push it off calling it rubbish, others read it many time only to give up saying it's full of contridictions and makes no sense. However they are missing something vital and that is the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit the Word is useless, it's like an English major trying to read something in Mandarin(Chinese). If he doesn't have the translator then the vast knowledge, symbols, and meanings will be lost on him. The Holy Spirit is our translator. I encourage all those who do not understand the Bible to go in asking God to reveal it to them through the Holy Spirit. But the Spirit comes only when we are fully willing, He will not come as an uninvited guest. So this folder is dedicated to those who have questions but can't seem to get the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

i dsagree... i found the bible to be straight forward, gods words are simple, jesus spoke to the children in paralbles... that they may understand. and his words to us, also were simple, 10 rules to guide us. and a peoples tale, of their journey, some a perfect example of what not to do, and the conciquences, and of hope, faithand beleif, the sacrifices of others, in the name of God.
he tells us, (simply) ask and you shall receive. Repaent with contrite heart, and you shall be forgiven. Beleive! and you shll be saved.
loveing wordws from a kind father. look study, and you shall know. and find the hand that proffered.

Yes I do agree what I mean by complex is that the secular world cannot accept them. It is complex to those who don't want to believe.

I prove my point =)

♥Jenny♥ Nathan, why are you even in this group? It's clear that you don't believe in any religion so why are you here?

No I prove your lack of humor and why you can't understand the Bible: your to prideful. Arrogance? Hardly. Do I think I'm better than you? I have made no such claim and I don't think I am in the slightest. You just really enjoy making trouble and I enjoy watching your self-righteous anger. You prove your own ignorance by making blatant statements about the Bible with nothing to back you up.

♥Jenny♥ Ok Nathan.

What lies have been spread about atheists? I'm talking to one right now. I know how you think, I was one. I only tell what I know is true and you confirmed it with your actions beautifully.

That proves nothing, many people have argued over when the Earth was made. I.E. God could have made the Earth billions of years old(because He's God, He does what He wants). Besides how do you want to explain where we came from if we already know evolution is a big hoax?

message 10: by D.C. (new)

Hahaha I am not a prophet at all! I am the least of these people. I like writing and people get encouragement from it. It's my gift, I'm not going to waste it.

Actually thats about right on. But thats okay I didn't have to give up my logic and reason because they apply very much to Christianity.

Right. Ugh, its really annoying Nathan.

No you just have no evidence for it but microevolution. You have no scientific proof of how one species would jump to another. The possibility of evolution creating something as complex as a cell is literally impossible. Oh and you can't prove where the first atom came from. So you have to have faith that that atom came from nothing. I think God is a little more feasible.

It really is insulting to be called a prophet, I am really a nobody just following God's will, if you want to judge me without meeting me go right ahead. I know plenty of people more in tune with God than me, they must be prophets then! Oh I bet your one too Nathan, since you claim to know everything about me.

message 15: by Riley(: (new)

Riley(: (rileylea) I mean, if you WERE a Christian (which you aren't, and I respect that,) do you think that God would want you to argue about him and just lose faith because of unproved facts?

message 16: by D.C. (new)

In the Bible it's says we are meant to defend our faith. Their is plenty of logic involved in Christianity, but you refuse to see it. It's alright, I used to do that to. None of my words will change your mind, only you looking for God will do that.

Yes Brian the modern church certainly has messed things up a lot. But this is not the Church of God this is man's church. God speaks in many ways. In the Old Testament He spoke in a whisper to Elijah

and we all have our own relationship with him..
God loves us each and all. truely brother DC truely

message 23: by Riley(: (new)

Riley(: (rileylea) If something is a fact, it is because it is proven.

I disagree. I don't think that's true. And if it was, then statements. History isn't even facts. It's discussion about evidence. So there.

Nathan quit buying into propaganda and restating my thoughts so you can refute them easily. I did not say the atom was to complex to not be created. I asked you whether you could tell me where the first one came from. You can't, so why not believe in God? You can't experimentally prove evolution. Your reply to my cell example just shows how blinded you really are. Your ignoring the fact that a single cell has so much information in it's DNA that it would take billions of encyclopedias just to record it down. Sorry chance does not create something like that. You can't even create macroevolution in a lab, how do you expect nature to have created the cell? Macro and microevolution are completely different. Microevolution are just small changes that will revert back eventually once the environment returns to normal. Darwin's brilliant finches are a hoax. These finches go through these same beak changes every couple of years or so. They are not a process of macroevolution.

That's the same claim.

You can't, so why not believe in God?

Like I ..."

Nathan, why did you come on a CHRISTIAN group running your mouth? This isn't the debate team, this is a Fellowship group. Please don't come in here with that mess.

message 26: by ♥Jenny♥ (new)

♥Jenny♥ But she has a good point about the whole debate team thing. That's not what this group is for so, why don't you find a group that better suits you, and let us be?

message 27: by D.C. (new)

Alright I'm done with you Nathan, this is not a debate group I have given my point of view you have given yours. It's done thank you, if you debate again(I am sorry for debating myself) then I will get rid of you. You are not open to anything at this point you just want to argue over something.

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Nathan wrote: "Nathan, why did you come on a CHRISTIAN group running your mouth?

I already answered that question. Keep up."

Well I mean I didn't see it I just went on here to make a comment saying hello and I just saw your comment. Didn't read everything.

WE GET IT!!! You don't believe in God!! So leave us be! Let us fellowship, even if you think it is fake!

You just want to argue! But, please, leave us alone! Go back to the debate group with your little friends and talk about us there.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Nathan wrote: "You are not open to anything at this point you just want to argue over something.

I am open to evidence, not random assertions. Evidence provided, I will listen."

Listen to what, Nathan? WE DON'T WANT TO DEBATE!! We want to fellowship!! I'm sure there are plenty other debate groups about this.

Nathan wrote: "Listen to what, Nathan?

D.C. and I were having a conversation. You weren't in it. D.C. accused me of being closed minded. I answered his accusation. Try and keep up."

The Bible never made a claim that the Earth is 6,000 years old, only Christians. So thats not a reason to believe the Bible is wrong. Anyway I am done debating

message 32: by Riley(: (new)

Riley(: (rileylea) Me too. I didn't join this group to be asked questions about my faith. It just makes me weak and makes my relationship with God looser and looser.

Alright Nathans gone and now. I wasn't going to do it until I heard he was hurting Riri's faith

message 34: by Riley(: (new)

Riley(: (rileylea) Thanks D.C. I really appreciate you doing that. :)

message 35: by D.C. (new)

D.C. | 93 comments Mod
Riri let me encourage you, the Bible is very historically accurate, Archeologically it is completely sound. When people say it is historically inaccurate it is because they choose to believe all the things against the Bible, they go against miracle being real(I have seen them they are real). They say they got their stories from Pagan when in reality they cannot prove that. The Bible instead is in Historical unison with other nations accounts, this proves it's accuracy not that it copied anyone. So Riri don't listen to these people they are blind and ignorant

message 36: by Riley(: (new)

Riley(: (rileylea) Thank you, I too have experienced miracles. Maybe only one, I can't be sure. If you would like I'll tell you about it.

message 38: by Riley(: (new)

Riley(: (rileylea) Well, first a little background information. There's this club my art teacher is in charge of it's called "Drum Club". So, he thinks we are so awesome (about 30 or so people *fourth and fifth graders*) So, there's a thing in Plano every year and it's called Spectaccolo. It's basically a drum/rock show that 7th graders and up play in. Well the guy took Mr.White's word and actually accepted us in. We were the first and only Elementary school that would/will be in! So we were practicing at the local High School, and my dad was at a doctor's appointment because he had a really bad infection in his foot. (He has CMT-- Charcot Marie Tooth Disease. Google it.) So he told me that I was to expect him to be in the hospital having his foot amputated. It was all I could do not to scream. So after we're done with practice, I take out my phone and feel it vibrate--
A text from my dad with a picture of him with both feet saying something like, "Surprised?". Sure I was! I count that as a miracle because God was watching over my dad and keeping him safe.

message 39: by Jayda (new)

Jayda In my opinion, the Bible does have many hidden meanings. We may think it means one thing, where as it means another. Plus, it can depend on translation on how we take in the information given. The Bible has been translated many times, so there are many different versions out there. The version you pick is what leads you to your belief of what God means.

message 40: by Jayda (new)

Jayda I do agree. But I also think that it's important to truly study and know the Bible and to really look into things, like the Pharisees did. The difference that can be between us and the Pharisees is that we can see what they did wrong and avoid it by making sure that we don't get too caught up in it.

God put everything in there for a reason, right? Then I think that we should look deeply into it all and make sure we do understand everything. And of course not all people will consider it the same as others, and that isn't always a good thing. But if we truly live by God's Word than what do we have to worry? We'll be Christlike and understanding and love our neighbors as ourselves :)

message 41: by Jayda (new)

Jayda That does make sense. There will always be things about Him and His Word that we'll only understand when we are as He is ^^
