Roses are red
Skinny wrists too,
Numbing my heartbeat
Slicing veins through.
Blade against skin
Knife against flesh,
Watching it run
Blood streaming out fresh.

With pain comes relief
With relief comes the pain,
Release of the heartache
My life frame by frame.
Watching it pass
Tears stream my face,
Leaving me every time
I'm so easy to replace.

But maybe they're right
I've no place in this world,
Hurting those around me
Heavy bricks hurled.
Not learnt from my mistakes
Repeat and repeat,
Lost in the crowd
I can't stand the heat.
Slits in the arms
Scars hard to hide,
Unrealistic lies
Scared to confide
Locked up inside
Completely out-cried
A part of me died.
You can't say I didn't try.

I like it! It's a bit dark, but I guess I'm into that kinda stuff haha. Maybe "Leaving me every time" is a bit too long compared to the length of the other lines, but hey, poetic licence ;)
