I've heard that ARC's of Sonali Dev's newest book, A Change of Heart, will be available at BEA (and RT if anyone is going there). https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
I created a Goodreads list to keep track of the books we know will be at BEA 2016. Please feel free to "vote" for more books if you know of any that aren't already on the list. https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/9...
Kristen Simmons told me today that she is headed to BEA. I assume that means she'll be promoting Metaltown.I'll add it to Laura's list when this is official
BEA, publishers and authors will generally announce books. Some of the BEA veterans may have more specific information. I don't think there is a single source so that's why this thread and the list is useful.I updated the list with Furthermore and 6 books Hatchette is promoting as the "hottest titles at BEA"
Melanie wrote: "How do you guys find out what books will be there???"Yes, exactly what Cambear said. I follow #bea16 on twitter, too, which can be very useful closer to the show - with authors and publishers tweeting about their books that will be featured. And in the couple of weeks prior to the show, there will be LOTS of great info from Library Journal, Kirkus, PW, and some of the publishers or group booths will put up schedules ahead of time, too.

Calla-many author signings require tickets of some sort. The ticket drops are when the publishers hand out tickets to the signings. Some do them all at once, others break them up over the course of the day. Keep in mind, these are for the booth signings. Ticketed authors in the main BEA signing area have a different system.

Melanie-it depends. For "in-booth" signings (the ones not in the autograph area and run by the individual publishers) you get them from the booth themselves. There is usually a main desk area for each booth or a person handing out tickets where the signing line forms.
For BEA run "autograph area" signings, the tickets are handed out each day at a main booth starting a few hours before the show opens. In past years it was near the area where we lined up for entry to the main hall. But we'll know more about that before the show I'm sure. Keep in mind that most autograph area signings do not require tickets and you just line up first come first served, however many of the big names or those with much stricter time crunches will be ticketed.
Once the complete schedule is posted I'm sure we'll know more details.
Is anyone else using the list Laura started? I find it helpful so I updated it with the books from the Macmillan list. If people are using it, then it would be great if others could help keep it up to date.Oh, a few more additions...
Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
Let the stampede begin...
Cambear wrote: "Is anyone else using the list Laura started? I find it helpful so I updated it with the books from the Macmillan list. I did add that one though :)
Should we be putting "highly likely" books on there? There's one that the author told me should be there but since she's not going she doesn't know 100%.
I would suggest holding off until you can confirm since the list could get huge.I added a few more Bloomsbury books which will defintely be there.
I find the list very useful, so I'm happy other people are using it/adding to it. Each individual can only add up to 100 books to any list, so it is a good thing when other people add some too.
I went to Jennifer L. Armentrout's Apollycon and she said she will be there with early finished copies of her newest book that comes out the week after BEA

A good chunk of the official schedule is up with signings (including some in-booth ones):http://www.bookexpoamerica.com/en/BEA...#

Yay! Thanks for letting us know!
I admit to some jealousy over the fact both 738 Days and Vassa in the Night will be there. :sigh:
Dude I like how they have the BEA website though! I mean this is much easier to navigate then usual! (and no I'm not going, but I can't help myself and look and hope some will be at ALA Annual).

Looks like the site is having technical difficulties now...wonder if they didn't want to post it yet and they took it down?

Looks..."
That's what I was thinking. I did get to look before it went down and there's quite a bit I'm excited about.
Can I just say...Veronica Roth!
Romance Writers of America Signing Schedule is up on their site: https://www.rwa.org/p/cm/ld/fid=1065
Added the books from Blink to the list:Remember to Forget by Ashley Royer
Gilt Hollow by Lorie Langdon and Carey Corp
One Paris Summer by Denise Grove Swank
Hachette has posted their in-booth signing schedule if anyone is interested... http://www.hachettebookgroup.com/feat...

For anyone who checks this out and then gets excited for Laini Taylor, she's only signing a sampler (and will have buttons and swag, too)- I asked her specifically and her response was that she's not done writing it yet, so no ARCs of Strange the Dreamer at BEA or BookCon! So sad about that, because the book sounds fantastic.
Laura wrote: "Jenn wrote: "For anyone who checks this..."Thanks for that news! Good to know what's a sampler vs an ARC.
I *think* Veronica Roth is signing a sampler for her new book. They haven't announced what she's signing, but I thought I saw "sampler" somewhere as well. Since we haven't gotten a title yet, I can't imagine it's the full book.

In previous years, the spreadsheet had a column for what they'd be signing (Galley/ARC, finished copy, poster, sampler, etc..) but it wasn't included this year :(
I vaguely remember reading that about Veronica Roth, too. Considering her next book doesn't even have a title yet, I doubt she'll have ARCs ready.
Candlewick Press added some. :)Going to #BEA16? Check out our author and illustrator signing schedule and visit us at booth #1529. pic.twitter.com/F8caVD7o1d

Thanks - so good to know!
Library Love Fest just posted the Harper Collins galley drop schedule: http://bit.ly/1TtbWTr(Updated on my huge master author list here: http://bit.ly/BookSched )
Does anybody know what Veronica Roth will be signing? Possibly ARC or sampler for 'Carve the Mark'?! **crosses fingers**
Rose wrote: "Does anybody know what Veronica Roth will be signing? Possibly ARC or sampler for 'Carve the Mark'?! **crosses fingers**"It will be a sampler for Carve the Mark. Don't know if it's the same chapter that's already online though...
Norton posted the giveaway schedule for their ARCS as well as Liverlight, T&H and Overlook: http://bit.ly/24Apoga
First time at BEA this year, I'm a little confused on the process. :) I get for the Autographing Sessions, it's a line up deal, unless it specifies "ticket required". But for in-booth signings, do they all require tickets that you get from a ticket drop? If not, where can I find the information on which authors/publishers are requiring a ticket drop? Thanks!
