One of the best two volumes I have ever read on the Holocaust. There's also a brilliant book out about the making of Maus, with early drawings and how it evolved and why. The name Escapes me but I'll look it up.
I remember seeing the title- is this a novel or in comic form.
Its so familiar- I could just look it up myself- :)
You may know more about it than what the synopsis might say.

It appears to be in comic form ... although the topic is certainly not "comic". I am intrigued by the concept - my first graphic novel, excepting Asterix et Obelix and TinTin, and also by the fabulous ratings.
Maus was the first graphic novel i ever read and i was amazed by how powerful i found it to be. Subsequently i have read many effective and powerful graphic novels and have tried to get my book club to do one so far to no avail.
I'm thinking I may have the same aversion as the
members in your book club :)
It cant hurt to try it.

It took me a long time before I read a good graphic book, and I read a couple that weren't, first. I haven't read Maus. But one of the first I did read was from this book club: The Rabbi's Cat. From its first year I think!

March's book is 'The Complete Maus'. A graphic novel to break it up a bit.
Enjoy!
