sorry for taking over thread for a minute but.... Enjoy!! Hope you become Ty and Zane lovers - this is such a fun/funny series!
A series of murders in New York City has stymied the police and FBI alike, and they suspect the culprit is a single killer sending an indecipherable message. But when the two federal agents assigned to the investigation are taken out, the FBI takes a more personal interest in the case. Special Agent Ty Grady is pulled out of undercover work after his case blows up in his face. He's cocky, abrasive, and indisputably the best at what he does. But when he's paired with Special Agent Zane Garrett, it's hate at first sight. Garrett is the perfect image of an agent: serious, sober, and focused, which makes their partnership a classic cliche: total opposites, good cop-bad cop, the odd couple. They both know immediately that their partnership will pose more of an obstacle than the lack of evidence left by the murderer. Practically before their special assignment starts, the murderer strikes again - this time at them. Now on the run, trying to track down a man who has focused on killing his pursuers, Grady and Garrett will have to figure out how to work together before they become two more notches in the murderer's knife.")
I think you are really going to enjoy it. Ty and Zane are really pretty hilarious - especially in the first couple of books - the getting to know you stage. You know you can skip parts you don't like - no one will know :) - although if you're doing it on audio that might be a tad harder to do,lol :) I keep trying to get one of the other ladies I do buddy reads with (in a different group) to try this one .... but alas - no go.
Well this is going to be my first, I am dipping my toe into the m/m genre slowly, so i may need you to hold my hand haha!
Ok I'm only on chapter 2 , not too keen on the narrator but it's good. It's funny and there is a LOT of flirting lol
I'm only up to chapter 5, I'm liking it a lot. There is a LOT of flirting lol.
I haven't a clue who the killer is either so that's good, I hate it when you work it out after a couple of chapters.!
Well, I figured it out, but was trying to convince myself it didn't make sense. The series gets better&better though...
I have an idea, but I don't think I've met all of the characters yet so I will hold back till about chapter 10 lol
I'm re-reading the last book from the series. And no, is not obsessing, it is called preparation for sidewinder #2 next June. Yes, is totally that.*giggles*
Umm, I love this book but the whole murder mystery thing isn't the best written plot (LOL)!
But like Sonia said, the series gets better..and the focus on the two increases

Wow i think Ty definitely should invest in some Chapstick, he licks his lips every other sentence lol.
LolOK só plotwise the series has a lot of incoherences and contradictions.... However, I love ty&zane so much that I don't even care.
Ok I'm not sure but I think i know who the killer is, he keeps popping up too much got it to just be a coincidence!
So I've just finished it and I kinda loved it, it wasn't my fave read ever but it was a really good read.I'm definitely going to be reading the next in the series.
Review
Sorry guys- I thought I'd get notifications when you all posted but for some reason I did not and forgot to just check- I missed out on our conversation! Sorry. Sonia- did you finish? I felt the same way you did in the above post of yours. I was confused on many levels but liked the characters themselves. Yes the licking the lips!! Hysterical about the chapstick! That was distracting for me- I wanted to count! But, like I said to Vicci- I guess in a PM- I thought this was more of a romance with a MM background plot. It wasn't my favorite but I liked the guys.
I finished it... several times! I'm in a current Ty&Zane obsession mood, so I read the whole series in a row during my vacations first week of April and then I'm periodically getting back to it to re-read some favorite parts. As Ezi said in one of the threads they were referred (can't say which, since I'm always talking about them), is like a comfort reading.
Had a bad day - go to Ty&Zane. My head hurts - go to Ty&Zane. Someone stole my lollipop - go to Ty&Zane... you get the picture :)
In the first two books I just liked their dynamics, not the story per se.
The third, for me, was the turning point. I totally fell for them. Hard. It helped that I laugh a LOT with Ty's reactions and sense of humor - If you two get that far, I'll probably join because I *need to talk about some of the scenes*
Oh thanks Sonia! Do you think I need to read 2 befroe 3 or can I skip? I have to read a 3rd or 6th in a series now and may try it.
Sonia wrote: "Uhmmm... plot wise, not really, relationship wise, I advise not to skip order... sorry..."Oh darn!
yeah... you say that now... but next year when the Lucky for most of you, I'm on the other side of the Atlantic, so the shock waves will be minimal...
*giggles*
