Hi all! I'd love to recommend anything by Barbara Samuel O'Neal and Laura Florand. They both write about food so beautifully.

I highly recommend another Linda Francis Lee book called The Devil in the Junior League - hands down one of the funniest books I have ever read. Even made me laugh during one of the most horrible and trying times of my life - when my mother was diagnosed with cancer and had to have a massive surgery. Still made me laugh, and I needed that.

Craftnut, What a wonderful note! In truth, Frede Ware wrote herself - which is definitely a good news/bad news thing for me! Where did she come from?! Interestingly, I sort of put her voice in Einstein the Dog in Emily & Einstein. It's a voice with virtually no filters. And I am with you, I need a good, funny book when I hit a rough patch.
