2017 Reading Challenge discussion

This was a hard category to fill. I have many authors I really like, but not one favorite. I looked through Good Minds Suggest here on Goodreads to find my book. I like science fiction author John Scalzi quite a bit and he had several suggestions for end of the world/plague stories. Grass by Sheri Tepper was one of his favorites so I gave it a try. Great beginning with some interesting world-building, but the last quarter of the book was a let down. Scalzi had a few other books on his list that sounded interesting and I will be fitting them into the challenge also.
