June Book Choice Options
Can I second something even though I proposed a title? if so, then I second Giovanni's Room because that's on my tbr.
I'd like to option Who Fears Death by Nnedi Okorafor.
I don't know how well known the writer is, but this novel's been recommended to me in the past and maybe more people would be interested to read it.
I'd like to second Salvage the Bones. I'm a little out of the loop on which authors are more well-known, so please correct me if this is wrong, but I saw some Julia Alvarez books yesterday and thought How The Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents looked good.
I'm super late to this party but I nominate The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven by Sherman Alexie. He's an extremely captivating Native American writer and I've been dying to read this!http://www.amazon.com/Lone-Ranger-Ton...
I'd also really like to second 'Giovanni's Room' - the feedback on it recently has been great so far!I'd also like to recommend 'I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings' by Maya Angelou :)
I option Adaptation by Malinda Lo! By a queer woman of colour with a bisexual protagonist, it also talks about race, gender, and sexuality while having an amazing sci fi/conspiracy theory fast-paced plot!
Louize wrote: "I would like to recommend 'The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao' by Junot Diaz. It's brilliant!"I second.
If it has not already been nominated (I am having trouble loading some comments) Radiance of Tomorrow by Ishmael Beahhttps://www.goodreads.com/book/photo/...
I second Who Fears DeathAnd Tonto and the Lone Ranger Fist fight in Heaven (if I'm allowed to second two books. Am I allowed to second two books?)
Chaneli wrote: "I second Half of a Yellow Sun"I have already recommended a book, so I don't know if this is allowed, but I really liked Half of a Yellow Sun also
