Lynette's story

Bear with me, I haven't picked up this book in a really long time but the story has completely scarred me for life. I was just thinking about this book, which made me want to post this discussion. I read Noughts and Crosses when I was 13, and re-read it when I was 18. I cannot get over it. What Malorie Blackman does so well is she gives definition to minor characters in this, something that YA lacks.

One character that I remember in particular is Lynette, Callum's sister. Although I have read the Noughts and Crosses series I will always read this one as a stand-alone book. So anyway my question is... wouldn't it be wonderful if they had a book, a story, solely on Lynette's character? This beautiful fragile human being, and seeing what she was before? In a way I understand that it would be like recycling the same story of Sephy and Callum, but I don't no, maybe it would be different somehow. If I remember correctly she was older than Callum so maybe there would be a time lapse, or something. I don't know. Just my thoughts. What do you think?

I love "Noughts and Crosses" and I agree with you. Lynette is a very interesting character and it seems like she was very secretive. I would like to know how Lynette was feeling when the whole family was struggling.
I hope Malorie Blackman makes a short story about her point a view.

I also love noughts and crosses because is a really suspensive and a thoughtful story.
And I also agree that Malorie Blackman should write a book where she tells what happened in Lynette's life because I think she never talks about Lynette's life apart from once or twice in the first book and then she never talks about them , I think.
It would be wonderful if Malorie Blackman could write the book about Lynette so we would know what really happened.

Tiffany Lynette was a quiet little mystery. I like how she only spoke to Callum. I can't remember a whole lot of it since I haven't read it in a while but I r ...more

I need Lynette's story in my life. I have to know all the events that led up to this wonderful girl giving up on her existence. Especially one who had so many people who loved her and relied on her, up to the point that it tipped them over the edge when she died. I want to know (not to sound too morbid) what was going through her head when she decided to walk in front of that bus.
please make this a reality Malorie, I'm begging you.
