I will wait to comment until more of you read it, but in the meantime here is a link to my spoiler free review:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
It's a very general review, but I wanted to convey its a good book that people should read. I will definitely read the third when it comes out.
this is a good youtube piece of Tahmima Anam talking about The Good Muslim and giving a brief tour of Dhaka, where much of the book is set. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3sLD...
A review of her upcoming new book, the third in the trilogy"Mysteries abound here — enigmas of identity and betrayal, long-buried secret transactions leading to quests — for a lost child, an abandoned wife, a missing mother…"

And here's a quote from Anam, who's a judge in the 2016 Man Booker prize. She is “absolutely thrilled with this longlist, because it reflects the truly global spirit of the Man Booker International. It is diverse – not just in the number of countries and languages that are represented but also in the ways the authors use, stretch and challenge the novel form.”http://www.theguardian.com/books/2016...
ooo! another article!
I haven't read it yet, but it's about Anam, Bangladesh's greatest living writer....

Very disturbing! I understood Anam was living in London. Is that no longer the case?I requested that my library purchace her third book of the trilogy The Bones of Grace: A Novel and they did! I hope to read it soon.
I think she is in London, yes. I don't believe she is in Bangladesh.
I just got The Good Muslim from work and plan to just order her newest for myself. I may even eventually buy all of them. I loved the first one so, so much.

If youre like me and forget details if you read too many books, it's better to read them straight through. There are lots of referances of characters and events from A Golden Age in The Good Muslim. I don't know how it will be for The Bones of Grace: A Novel.
I'm still in the cue for it.
