In Margaret Peterson Haddix's book Found, A boy named Jonah Skidmore is just an ordinary boy, or so it seems. One day while Jonah was playing basketball in his front yard with his friend Chip, he received a letter in the mail. The letter had only 6 words written on it. Those words were "YOU ARE ONE OF THE MISSING". Not knowing what this meant he just pushed it aside at first. That is until his friend Chip got one exactly like it. After receiving the note Jonah and Chip came to learn that Chip was also adopted. Through the help of Jonah's sister Katherine, Jonah and Chip learn the notes are linked to the strange and shifty circumstances of both Jonah's and Chip's adoptions. Throughout the book the three of them go on a journey to get to the bottom of the mystery that ends up involving an airplane that shows up out of nowhere, a huge smuggling operation and the FBI. What they find is a mind blowing conspiracy that pushes them into a whirlwind of an adventure through time, and leaves them wondering, Who are we? Where did we come from? Or when did they come from? I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is wanting a mystery/suspense/thriller type of book. It was always making me want to read more.
