Sophia Danko is a Senior at Forest College in North Carolina. She is not your typical girl to fall for a cowboy. Her friends convince her to go to a bull-riding event with them. While at this event she meets a bull rider named Luke who has nothing in common with all the other boys Sophia has ever been with. After a while of talking Sophia and Luke go on a date. On the way home from their date they noticed a car that had hit the barrier and gone off the road. Luke immediately stopped the truck and got out to go help. In the car was a man named Ira Levinson. Ira was in trouble. At ninety-one years old, in poor health, and alone in the world, he mound himself stranded in the car. Suffering from multiple injuries, he struggled to maintain consciousness until a blurry image materializes and comes into focus beside him, his wife Ruth, who passed away nine years ago. Ruth was urging Ira to hang on, she forces him to remain alert by recounting the stories or their lifetime together. How they met, the paintings they collected, the days of WWII and its effects on their families. Ira, knowing Ruth can't really possibly be in the car with him, clings to her every word, and their memories. Through out the book you learn about Ruth's and Ira's life and marriage and get to grow with the relationship between Sophia and Luke. The book reminds us of all the important and difficult decisions you have to make in life. This book was an extremely good book and I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for an amazing book to read. It definitely left me wanting to read more. Audio Book Karli Hall
