What do you feel like doing?

Ummmm idk. Maybe like there's this wolf pack and they have an alpha and all that jazz and a dark angel wanders into their territory when running away from hunters and they take them prisoner. That's like cliché but I'm kind of in the mood for cliché? Strange for me. But I'm really up for anything. Demons, wolves, magic, superheroes, normal people.

Same, I'm up for pretty much anything.

I don't know, lonely mad scientist makes humanoid creatures or opens a rift or dimension.

What else would that entail? Like would he make a monster he falls in love with or takes someone prisoner because he needs a partner?

I think my charrie should still be working as an assassin that way we can always have some action to go off of if things are slow. But it'll just be set when my character is much older than when her family died.

Mmm can you start?

Persephone walked through the halls of the mansion making sure everything was in place. She observed the other servants performing their duties and corrected some of them. She checked her watch and walked into the kitchen. She picked up a tea set that she had prepared thirty minutes ago and made her way to her mistress's chamber. She placed the tea set on a desk near Ariel's bed and walked over to the curtains. She ripped them open and the sun shined brightly into the dark room. "It is morning mistress Ariel." She said as she turned around and walked back to the bed.

Ariel snarled. "Why must you always do this to me? You know I hate the brutal awakening," she snapped after the bright light attacked her eyes. She squeezed her purple eyes tightly and rolled over so she was face down in her pillow. An annoyed grunt left her full lips, she found it inconvenient that she had to move to stay comfortable. Her purple hair was stuck out in all sorts of directions from her sleep and her navy blue nightgown was also disheveled.

"Come now Mistress Ariel. You will be late with your client. I have made you tea with those special herbs you are fond of. If you get up and hurry your guest will not have to wait long. It isn't good for the head of the house to be late for her meeting." She said as she ripped the covers off. She picked her up and said, "As much as I would like to take my time to wake you up, I can't. You need to be ready soon. I have placed your clothes in your washroom, take a quick bath and get dressed." She placed her on the floor of her bathroom and walked out after closing the door behind her.

A snarl was present on Ariel's lips the whole time. She didn't care about the guest coming and having to wait for her. If they wanted to see her they could wait. Nevertheless she pulled her night gown off and slipped into the hot water. After she was cleaned she pulled the black dress on and called her Persephone to lace the back up as she did not enjoy doing it herself. She had already pulled her hair back into an elegant up do and pulled her gloves on, hiding the mark on her hand that bound Persephone to her.

Persephone walked into the bathroom and helped her finish getting dressed. "You don't like this type of dress for the lacing, but you love wearing it. It's cute how you still need me to do this." She said with a quiet laugh. She didn't mind doing this, but it was nice being able to be close with Ariel like this. After she finished she walked back out of the bathroom and poured a cup of tea for Ariel. She looked towards Ariel and said, "Your tea is served Mistress."

Ariel went to her office and sat with her up of tea. "Thank you. Has my guest arrived yet?" she questioned as she crossed her legs. "And please do remember to keep a watchful eye on the unknown guest. No one can be trusted. If I die I will find a way to come back, and you will sincerely regret it," she said sternly. She was in a particularly bad mood today. Her dream had been about her family and those days were never good for the young human.

"Yes your guest should be here soon. I will send for him. As for you dying, that won't happen. You're going to live until you have had enough of life." She said walking over to the window. She gave a signal to one of the other maids and the young maid ran off. A few moments later a older gentle man who was bald, but had a full grey beard walked in. He had a grey suit and a brown cane with a golden snake for the handle. He sat down and looked at the young women.
"Good morning. I come on the behalf of our agency. I am the head director of the National French Investigation Bureau. NFIB for short. Lately we have been getting more and more odd cases. They lean towards the supernatural and are entwined with high profile people in today's society. The former king gave the president all the information about the former houses and agencies. Yours seems to be the most qualified due to your past records." He said with a grim look on his face.

Ariel cocked her head to the side. Her fingers tapped against the desk in a consistent pattern of sets of three. "I need more information. What does odd consist of? Don't spare me the details, I can handle it," she told the man. She didn't mind the gore and mutilation, most of the time she was inflicting such things herself or having Persephone do so. Her stare was harsh and void of any emotion. "Please do catch my interest. I don't appreciate it when people take up my precious time," she added.

He gave a nod and said, "As you wish, for the last several weeks ten bodies of certain businesses were found cut up from the legs, arms, and heads. After they were sewed back on, but onto different bodies. All the businesses relate to one thing. Lumber. At each scene the is one witness. All of them say the culprit is a seven foot tall muscular man wielding a giant ax and has the features of a lumber jack. The only thing that's of is that his skin is grey like stone and his body seemed heavier than steel. The rumors have given him the name Goliath of the forest. They say he's a vengeful spirit after industries who take too much from nature. That said, those companies have shut down and the industry is suffering."
Persephone chuckled and said, "Sounds like the spirit of Paul Bunion has come to haunt of beloved France Mistress."

Ariel nodded. "Well that certainly isn't as exciting as I hoped it would be. But nevertheless it gets me out of this wretched house and puts my mind to work. I'll take it, hopefully it doesn't bore me," she said. "You are dismissed sir. I will be seeing you soon. I hope you are prepared for my arrival. If I am unhappy, I will leave," she informed him. She sounded like a spoiled brat to most people but it was part of her composure. If she didn't act like a rude confident woman people tried to walk over her and take the authority she refuses to give up. "Persephone have the other made lead him out," she ordered.

"As you wish Mistress." She said signaling the other maid to come. The young maid led the old gentleman out and Persephone gave a grin. "Aren't you extra sassy today? I guess it can't be helped, you typically act this way around other agencies and figures. Though that man seemed to be of a more genuine and kind nature. Such is a thing of the past. It seemed he doubted we could handle it. Though one thing does bother me... The Goliath is obviously the one who killed the victims, but who sewed them back together?" She said pouring more tea for Ariel.

"I dreamed of my parents last night excuse the unexpected anger," Ariel replied. She sat back in her chair now that the man was gone, letting her formal composure fall. "That is my question as well. I doubt our axe man is a doctor as well. Tomorrow we will leave. I am too angry today. Have an early carriage prepared for me. We will leave at 7. I want to go to the crime scene and have a look," she told Persephone. Her purple eyes closed with a quiet sigh. The faces of her parents fresh in her mind though she didn't remember much of them anymore.

"Yes Mistress, don't forget to come to dinner tonight and breakfast tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a long day." She said as she left the room. She resumed control of all the staff and got things rolling around the mansion.

Ariel stood and her long dress fell to it's full length. She left the office and made her way down to the open corridor. She pushed the large double wooden doors open that lead outside to the garden. Her purple hair blew slightly in the breeze as she walked out past the flowers to a patch of grass far off from the house. She held her arms out and fell back into the tall green blades, the grass enveloped her with a certain welcome feeling. Her eyes went up to the sky, watching the clouds go by. Every once in a while they would close in an effort to block away her memories that haunted her.

After doing her rounds Persephone saw Ariel in the garden. It was getting to be around mid day and she decided to get a special gift from her chamber. She came back to the garden and walked up to Ariel. "Mistress, I have found something." She said hiding a small black box that held a jeweled hair clip. The clip's jeweled pattern was of a sapphire rose.

Ariel had been twirling her hair around her finger as she looked to the sky. She sat up and looked to Persephone. "And what is that?" she inquired. Her time alone had allowed her to cool down, though she generally wasn't a nice person who didn't say many nice things except on the rare occasion.

Persephone handed her the box and said, "Your birthday gift..." She gave a small smile and watched her reaction.

Ariel slowly reached her hand out and took the box from Persephone's hand. Her brows furrowed as she looked at it from all angles before opening it. She had to push her purples strands of hair out of her eyes before she could look at the gift. Her eyes softened and the corner of her mouth lifted in a small smile, a rare occurrence for the girl. "Thank you, Persephone. I do appreciate the gift very much. Would you mind putting in my hair?" she requested looking up to the demon.

"It would be my pleasure mistress." She said walking closer to her. Her smile grew and it had a sweet glow about it. She was happy her mistress liked her gift. She placed it in her hair with care and made sure her hair looked perfect with it. Persephone walked around her and looked at her mistress from the front. She gazed at her and put her right hand on her cheek. She blushed alittle because of how lovely Ariel looked sitting there. Her hair fixed, nicely dressed, and that beautiful face. The sun however hid her cheeks color and she said without thinking, "Mistress... You look absolutely beautiful."

Ariel held Persephone's gaze. She nearly flinched away at the hand on her cheek, instead she let Persephone touch her cheek. "Thank you, Persephone," she spoke. Her small smile grew a little wider but not much. "I do appreciate the gift," she nodded. She pulled her cheek from Persephone's hand as she looked down to the fresh grass. She held her hand out for Persephone to help her up.

She helped her up and said, "Anything for you." She looked at the time and said, "Dinner will be ready in two hours mistress. If you need me, I will be in the kitchen preparing your meal.

Ariel sighed. "No you will not. Ask another to do so and prepare some horses. I do not wish to be at this dreadful house for much longer. Have them pack food up for the both of us. We will be heading out for the lake on the back side of the property," she instructed. She didn't like spending time in the house after dreaming of her parents as they were everywhere and she couldn't ever snap out of the funk.

"As you wish mistress." Said Persephone with a bow. She walked over to a near by maid and informed her of the orders she was given. The other maid walked off and Persephone walked over to the stables. She got a black horse and a brown horse with a white stripe down the middle. She walked them both to Ariel and said, "I have your horse Mistress and mine as well."

Ariel took the reigns of the black horse and ran her hand along it's sleek body. In a quick movement she was on it's back, no help required as she had done this many times. "I expect to see you there when the food is ready. The spot I usually go," she told Persephone. With the click of her tongue she was off. The horses large muscles worked as it sprinted where Ariel wanted it to go. She urged the beauty to go faster, testing it's limits. Her hair blew behind her in the wind, the clip staying locked in place. When she reached her destination she slowed the horse and climbed off, a cloud of dust billowed down the trail she had just made.

A few moments after Ariel left, a maid came out with two packed dinners. Persephone took them and gave a nod to the maid. After she mounted her horse, she darted off to meet with Ariel. When she arrived Persephone jumped her horse and walked over to Ariel. Persephone looked at the lake as the falling sun shined on the water.

"It's beautiful isn't?" Ariel asked after a few moments of silence. A gentle breeze blew her purple hair behind her shoulders. "Much different from life as a whole," she added. Her eyes fell shut as she let the light from the setting sun caress her skin. Her eyes fluttered open, "I find it hard to see the beauty of life as others do. I think that's why I spend so much time with death. It is a far more beautiful event."

"That's how we were brought into the world mistress. To see life begin and end. Seeing it unfold and being the one who decides is why we do it. It makes you safer when you know there is no one after your life. The world is beautiful, but I see beauty everyday." She said as she walked over to a wooden patio with a stone table. She set up their dinner and looked at Ariel in the sunlight. She smiled alittle and said to herself, "Yes... Beauty everyday..."

"I do not understand how you manage that," Ariel replied. She stared off over the lake, not looking to Persephone. She knew the water was cold but she wanted to get in and let the water wash away her pain. Her emotionless eyes looked over to her maid, the woman bound to her by contract. "Tell me, Persephone. If you did not have to, would you stay here? Wasting your life away as a maid to a bratty rich kid that kills people for fun?" she asked.

Persephone's face turned alittle more serious and she walked over to her. She fixed Ariel's hair and then looked down into her eyes. "Mistress, I will always be honest with you. When I say if I was not bound to you. I would still be here. The contract states that I serve you for as long as you live, but I still have my own mind. There is a side of you that I love and admire. You just hide your real self from others with a front. You're not alone in this world. I will always be with you." She said as she finished her hair and placed her hand on her cheek.
