Jocko Podcast Book Club discussion

Hey everyone! I have been toying around with the idea of having a monthly group read of the books that Jocko reviews on the podcast. We would pick one book per month and read it together (maybe 2 months for About Face) and then share discussion about our thoughts. Maybe Jocko would come and give his thoughts on the entire book as well and answer some questions if we have any, I'll have to check on that to be sure though.

Is there any interest in this idea? Let me know, I'm more than happy to lead it!

I think that if we are all reading one book there will be more opportunity to talk about what we are reading. Right now no one is focused on any specific book, so there isn't much to talk about.

is one month a good amount of time for a book that is roughly 300 pages? I don't want people to feel too rushed or like they can't participate because we don't give enough time to read the books.

Kristi, I agree with you about one month for 300 pages. Although some topics may take longer because they are hard to read, e.g., war. I am working my way through About Face and am in the middle of Vietnam. Can't read that for too long at a sitting.

I'm hopeful that more people will participate as it adds to the reading experience. Your thoughts anyone?
