Thoughts on Seasonal Reading

I myself don't read according to what the season is. I may be in the minority, but I will not read say Xmas theme books just because it's that time of the year. Nor will I choose a book to take to the beach just because it's a good beach read. I think my reading habits are much the same from month to month.
I've never thought of myself as a seasonal reader. I read according to my mood and how my brain is feeling.
I just read all the time. I may have more time at some times than others, but the season doesn't really make a difference. I think I'm reading 7 books right now! But usually I'm reading a print book & listening to an audio book. And as soon as I finish one book, I start another one :)
I'm like Terri ... The season doesn't make much difference to me either, though I do have a couple of "Christmas" books I read each year in December.
I read heavier books in the summer when I have more time and lighter books- contemporary and historical fiction, mysteries, etc during the school year when I'm bogged down by the kids school schedule.
I'm not really organized enough in my reading to read seasonally-appropriate books very often. I also find, when it's February and I haven't seen the sun in months, that the last thing I want to read is anything having to do with winter.
It's remarkable how few books really truckle with the whole idea of spring. All I can think of that I've ever read is Spring Snow and The Enchanted April. And Spring Snow is a serious downer!
Stumbled across a shortish novel on a Halloween theme, Dark Harvest. Can't wait to start it. I'm a little heartsick from reading House of Horrors: The Shocking True Story of Anthony Sowell, The Cleveland Strangler and some Hallooweeny fiction should smarten me right up.
I just downloaded the Chronicle Worlds: B-Movie anthology
; thought it would make good halloween reading.
