Bernard Share is the author of the unique reiterative novel Inish, which remains obscure, as does the author. It is an entertaining book at the same time that it is an extreme novel-experiment. It is certainly profoundly inspired by the modernist novels that precede it, but Share has a distinct enough voice to give his novel its own character.
