OK y'all, I finished the book. I had planned to draw this one out over most of the spring, but I honestly couldn't help myself. Montes writes like a fiend, and I loved every word.

**THIS BOOK IS INCREDIBLY DISTURBING!!**

I felt it necessary to make that very clear early, because if you have a weak stomach or a sweet soul, you may want to catch another one of our group reads. This book is so deliciously disturbing. I consider myself an old hand at upsetting media; I prefer my entertainment to make me squirm. But "Perfect Days" was almost too much for me. I mentioned I couldn't put it down, which might be a little misleading, because there came a point where I had to put the work down, to give myself a little bit of a breather. It's true to say, however, that even when I wasn't actively reading the book, I was darn sure thinking about it.

I don't want to reveal too much too early, so I'll wait for another post to talk more about the plot and the characters and all the details that made this book so good. But, providing you enjoy disturbing literature, check out the book, it is so good!!
