Thank you, Lidiana! I think the quality of the biographies really varies, so it would be nice to be able to read unbiased reviews as well as contribute our own thoughts.

Thank you, Kathi... I hope the idea works and we (at least I) suffer less when it comes to choosing material to read about Bowie.
"Suffer less"--ha ha! Well put. Some of these biographies read more like supermarket tabloids.

The facts about his sex life in his twenties sell so much better than fact that he liked to read books. So it is.
Two messages in less than 24 hours… Hope I am not being inconvenient. I am writing to talk about a suggestion that was given by a couple of group members and that I felt it was interesting looking it up.
Many members have been reading books about Bowie and they would like to share their reviews with the entire group. Unfortunately, the group bookshelf only allows one review, which means that it would not be possible for people to share their comments in there.
So, from now on, if you want to share a book review with all the other members, all you need to do is:
1st - write a review with your personal Goodreads profile, just like you would do with any other review once you finish the book.
2nd - check if the book you reviewed is already in the group bookshelf. If it isn’t ask one of the moderators to add it. (request can be made by private message or on the post What are you currently reading? - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...)
3rd - Finally, just post a note on the thread this thread letting the other members know that you wrote a review on such title. Then the members who are interested in reading the review, can go to the group bookshelf, search for the book and click on “view activity”. There everyone will be able to see all reviews and stars that were given by their fellow group members.
In case you have any doubts, please let me know…
