The Dark Artifices discussion

Seemingly one of the most awesome characters in this book. What do you think of him?

I have to agree. I'm curious to see how his character develops throughout the series. I'm glad he's back in this world!

I thought that the ending was interesting ("Why lie?") do you think that Mark sort of knew what was going on with her and Julian?

I feel like he doesn't. Understanding that falling in love, romantic love, is against the law, I don't think he'd jump to that conclusion. Plus, Emma and Jules have been best friends forever. They grew up together so to think they're romantically link would also be far fetched.

That being said, since Mark *was* away for five years, I would think, he being fae, would pick up on the romantic vibe. He's been away from the scene long enough to see their responses to each other have changed somehow. Then again, he was part of the Hunt which would explain why he didn't immediately pick up on it.

I feel like he has had his struggles that were much more mental than Jules' but then again, Julian was under a lot of stress having to raise his siblings, I liked Mark with Kieran but then again I also like him with Emma and I ship him with Cristina, but I like her with Diego and at the same time I don't, I think it's gonna turn out to be another one of Clare's love octagons...

I think that at the end, Dru will be with Diego.
Maybe mark's last sentence was to challenge Emma to see how far will she go.. Or maybe his fae side is still strong and he likes to play
