This topic is to help others find books from Sweden.

Carol There's quite a few Swedish authors going around lately.
"The girl with the dragon tattoo" by Stieg Larsson
"Let me in" by John Ajvide Lindqvist
Anything from Camilla Läckberg (I haven't read her yet, but I see her around a lot in bookstores).
There's also Jan Guillou (he has a book about the crusades) and Maria Gripe, who I think writes for children.

I've read some Camilla Läckberg and can confirm she is more than worth the read. (:

Jorge Rosas | 6 comments “Maus” by Art Spiegelman; although It’s a graphic novel so I don’t know if It counts.

I really enjoyed The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. I would definitely recommend it - although there is a lot of violence, so it's certainly not a good fit for everyone.

Misty | 35 comments I also recommend Camilla Lackberg - I have read most of the Fjallbacka series (I don't think they have all been translated). I also recently read An Elderly Lady Is Up to No Good by Helene Tursten. That book is a trip, and it is unlike anything I've ever read. :)
